I was browsing the Team fortress 2 items and I came across these two Items made by a friend of mine. One is an all class Flagpole misc that I though was pretty cool cause its like a sports flag that you can customize to show your fave tea. The flag is kind of meh looking (the UV especially looks crooked) and it shouldn't be on the soldier, that messes with his weapons that use flags.
The anubis mask isn't really a great idea imo as it's kind of silly, the model's okay but it certainly doesn't wow me enough to look past the sillyness.

The mask looks very goofy and unrefined, and the flag is exactly like the one in Portal 2

Honestly - it's well-made hat, but it doesn't fit TF2 in the least. Have you noticed how nearly no TF2 items have normal maps - and the ones that do, don't have them nearly that detailed? The texture is also nearly untouched, it looks like - but to be fair, you don't really put brushstrokes on fabric.

I got attached to my high res sculpt. :( but yeah I don't disagree with you at all. Maybe I'll make a non normal mapped version. I appreciate the feedback.
How about someone makes a badge which looks like a lock?
