If you would quit playing TF2 because of one promo, you most likely don't like TF2 and should quit playing it anyway.

For example, Even though I have played TF2 around 4000 hours, If they made a promo for War-Z. I would take it as a sign of the times and quit TF2.

I must not be a "real gamer" or whatever because I don't understand the hate against potential Angry Birds promos. The game's pretty inoffensive to me, so it wouldn't be any more obnoxious than any other promo, but hey, what do I know. I wouldn't be in a rush to buy them, but I wouldn't votekick someone wearing them or anything.

It's pretty much flinging birds at pigs to knock down their towers. At least TF2 has a lot of different game-modes and weaponry options to make each experience a unique one that warrants the original $20 price tag. Also, TF2 doesn't put their logos on thousands of shoddy products like Angry Birds does. You can buy almost everything with an Angry Birds design on it now a days.

The two games just look way too different, and don't have much in common. Even black bird bombs as replacements for the Loose Cannon bombs really wouldn't look quite right. EDIT: well, I suppose I wouldn't be entirely opposed to a slingshot promo for sniper or scout, but even then, it couldn't be firing birds without looking horrid, and at that point, is it really an Angry Birds promo?

With no information about promos on the AB page as I am writing this I'm reserving my "fuck these promos are as bad as the void monk hair" comments for later. Unlike the skullgirls promo that I hated less than these ones but were confirmed.

I'd just really prefer to see more community content and just more effort put into the game than promos left and right. I'm loving the bug fixes we've been getting and I think once steam pipe goes out we might see a little more focus on that kind of thing. Overall Angry Birds promos could be forgiven (Hey who doesn't want more birds?) but it would just leave a bad taste in my mouth when there's so much else that needs to be done. I could go on but that's kind too off topic.

I don't dislike Angry Birds all that much. It does what it's meant to competently and to that degree it's 'OK'. That being said TF2 promos for such a game would be [I]very[/I] hard to pull off right. Pretty much any item based upon the birds themselves would either look hugely unfitting or nothing like the source material to the point that it might as well be just another bird misc, and personally, I think we have more than enough of those already. Perhaps a slingshot weapon for scout or whatever class it best suits could work (on the condition it loaded rocks and not birds), but that could easily be a promo for a multitude of physics based flash games.

I like Angry Birds Space. The gravity mechanics remind me of a flash game a long time ago related to the cartoon 3-2-1 Penguins. Ah yes, here it is! [URL="http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/spacedpenguin"]Spaced Penguin[/URL]
