I don't see what the bug is.
you're crouching and the camera is going with you. is the issue that it's not using the crouching animations?
may or may not be because you're in itemtest
The humiliation animations have crouching animations but they never work, you character crouchs but the animations stay standing when you do it, it has been like this since the MVM update
Why did Max ban him?
He wanted a temp ban. Max oblidged but never told him that anybody who requests temp bans get perma'd.
He wanted a temp ban. Max oblidged but never told him that anybody who requests temp bans get perma'd.
When did that happen exactly? I mean I remember some people getting temp bans on request and then getting unbanned.

If you request a temp ban and get perma'd, then what happens if you request a perma ban?
It's backwards over here.
When did that happen exactly? I mean I remember some people getting temp bans on request and then getting unbanned.
Silent change. Like half a year ago they'd give you one ban of the requested length with a warning that the next requested ban would be a perma.
That's retarded
They should at least tell you instead of acting like they're going to tempban you and perma'ing you instead
That's retarded
No, that's Max.
Seems like is gonna be really hard to get over with that episode.
In any case, have any of you even heard or read testinglol stuff elsewhere? I abandoned SPUF long time ago (no need to go there, since we almost always got the info here first) and haven't seen him in reddit lately.
No, that's Max.
Same shit
Can someone unban TestingLol?
he's still around, indirectly
he could be around directly, for all we know
*plot twist*
Ned confirmed for alt of testinglol.
This is a game where not only can you deal triple damage for doing absolutely nothing, the only way for it to be competitively viable includes removing half of the content.
TF2 is never going to be a proper competitive game. Compare it to Dota 2, Counter-Strike, whatever. TF2 is a casual easy-to-pick-up F2P shooter. That's it.
So stop acting like adding crutches is something they haven't done and won't continue doing.
When did I ever say adding crutches isn't something they haven't done or wont continue to do? I said I don't agree with it. Yeah TF2 is casual compared to Counter Strike and Dota 2 but that doesn't mean it has to be downright dumb.
I specifically said in my post I don't hold TF2 to a competitive standard like the games you mentioned
what I'm saying doesn't even concern competitive play. TF2 is designed to be "competitive" in that it's 2 teams competing with the goal of winning the round through dynamic team work. In my opinion I feel the game has strayed a little to far from that.
I don't think its absurd to ask for a well rounded game with minimal player competency. This game is riddled with idiots who hardly understand the concept of shoot the other goddamn team. If you wanna mess around try silly loadouts or paint your hats pink that's fine, that's your own prerogative and it's part of what keeps the game fun.
Weapons are an essential aspect of the game and it's wasteful to make weapon that's just easier to use when the stock should already be the bottom line. If anything a lot of these weapons make the game less approachable, there's so many small changes or quirks that allow cheap shots or situational deaths that are far less clear to new players.
On an unrelated note, does anyone think something will come of this polycount contest? It seems odd to advertise it on the TF2 Blog for no reason. Maybe contributors can use it as an opportunity to show off some concepts and work. I'm curious to see what will come of it and it might be a good idea to be on the lookout for some TF2 themed entries.

I'd rather see an update where, for one weekend, buds and Bill's were purchasable, craftable, and droppable.
Just post it on Friday, say nothing else, and watch everything go nuts over the weekend.

and then never make them craftable! :v:
I honestly think it'd be neat if you could still get (untradeable) Earbuds by downloading Steam via the Mac App Store (if they ever add it).
Tons of Mac users I know feel shafted by the incredibly glitchy first week of that promo, and some couldn't even install it to get the item in the first place. A second chance for them would be nice.
Unrelated, it'd be nice if Tux's description changed depending on which distro of Linux you used to get it. "Ubuntu Represent!", "Fedora Represent!", "Mint Represent!", etc.
I'm a Fedora man, myself.
Haha, nobody tell dota fans valve is on vacation this week, they might just commit mass suicide.
They think 3 weeks without a new character is a lack of content. Ahahaha, if they only knew what was coming n 3-5 years

I edited it because blank looked confusing
So, no updates for the coming weeks, time to keep being mad at Max, crying over the Skullgrils promo y Grodbort weapons and discuss about balance weapons that will never be implemented to keep us topical
Not much different from other weeks.

Actually, there's still a chance for the Skullgirls promo. Also someone mentioned some indie game that was working on potential promos for April so there's that too.
Early warnings for:
- Chance of Steam downtime - possible ~6:00 PM CDT tonight - http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=34130583&postcount=571
- Steam maintenance - ~6:00 PM CDT tomorrow - http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=34130583&postcount=571
One thing I've wondered about for quite a while now... Android is actually technically a Linux distro. Designed for small screens, but still. Open up the command shell and it's all blatantly Linux.
Does that mean that with some work, the full Linux version of Steam (plus games) could work on x86 Android? Other things (KDE, etc.) ported over work great, so maybe...

The commonest one of course would be "Cheater Represent!"
