fucking finally
yet no love for the robosandwich
It's not really grounds to state that tf2 'isn't real free to play'. The hat is still available for free, as a drop, can still be crafted. it even has a specific craft pattern. Valve have admitted it was a mistake, (and let's be honest, a small one) and haven't made any steps in that direction since. Yes, technically there is two or three items you can choose to purchase, that can give you a small stat advantage. But those cracks don't make the entire foundation crumble.
I thought f2ps cant craft hats
fuk dis, i'm going to convert all my keys into craft hats (about 150) and wait for big hat release I crafted 100 craft hats before, got nothing, and dang I want some new craft #'s. Crafty Hair #3 is cool but i want moar dont even think about stealing them hng
http://steamcommunity.com/id/chemicalalia/inventory#440_2_143017138 Hat given to person who made it that gives ingame bonuses tf2 is obviously pay 2 win
He is technically correct. If a Milkman Scout faces another Milkman Scout and only one of them has the hat on, Then the hat-wearer will win assuming all other constants are the same.
Why would someone be a Milkman Scout without a hat? Seriously use the scattergun at least, it's better.

The article does state that there are different kinds of F2P models. For example, I counted 123 weapons with stats excluding reskins. A F2P backpack can only hold 50 items. Some of these weapons see no usage but are you telling me that someone with over 120 weapons has no advantage over someone with at most 50?
Could someone explain what a Steampipe is and why people want it so badly?
Could someone explain what a Steampipe is and why people want it so badly?
a loading/filing system that makes shit load a whole lot quicker

I mean yeah I've heard that didn't do it because people payed for them but I've paid for those sets and I wouldn't give a poop about it honestly.
Could someone explain what a Steampipe is and why people want it so badly?
Because there's nothing else to look forward to.
I mean yeah I've heard that didn't do it because people payed for them but I've paid for those sets and I wouldn't give a poop about it honestly.
That statement is debunked, anyway, considering the other amassment of weapons out there that has been bought by people, and were changed, anyway. Like people probably bought the Tomislav for its +40% faster spin-up time, but then they nerfed the hell out of that bonus.
Could someone explain what a Steampipe is and why people want it so badly?
Also adds an addon system instead of what we have now, which is just putting all the mod files together and making it really hard to specifically delete a mod afterwards.

Who wants a Tomislav now? Poor SNIPA.
Variety can only be a good thing. Comp will always ban what it doesn't like anyway, so they're a nonentity.
Well that’s really bad way to think; foremost we can all agree that TF2 is not balanced for your average VALVe server pub but more so for the high end skill level yet also not the “competitive level” There exists right now multiple different weapons and unlocks in this game; 15+ weapons per class at least, this puts a large burden on the player to be able to identify an item and then remember the unique properties of that weapon Now you say varity Is good and that is undeniably true but there is a paoint when varity can be detrimental to the game lets take a look at the stock Uber, the ubercharge was one of the things that set TF2 apart from many other fp’s but over time through unlocks and new content added to the game the power of a stock uber has weakened, it can be disrupted multiple ways from explosions now to M2 airblast spam, the scorch shoot and loose cannon knockback not to metion the rescue rangers ability to essentially nope.avi and deny a stock ubers from destroying sentrys (don’t get me started on the pompson) We are more are less promised new weapons at least once a year during either Christmas; summer or both I think that, that is a good enough rate to add gameplay altering weapons Lets fix, rework, and buff the ones we have right now
I made a fake update saying Cock fighter was made tradeable The next day it did Thank me later
oh good the cockfighter is tradable now to wait a month so i won't have to pay 50 keys for the damn thing.
- SNIP -
Trading cockfighter for 3 buds no lowballs or reprt
TF2 is pay to win apparently http://www.pcgamesn.com/tf2/crytek-ceo-team-fortress-2-not-real-free-play-game-sense
For hats yes. For Weapons, no.
Im amazed how much it dropped. Before people were willing to pay up to 30 keys or so. Now it's worth something like 10-15 keys.
i can understand the idea of them working on dota 2 honestly, but then i thought of something: they're going to run out of things to do on it eventually, right? they've gone the strictly cosmetics path with it so far, so if they keep that path for the sake of the playerbase that dota and such attract, then that means once they get in the rest of the heroes, there really won't be much left to do from there, besides support you'd generally expect (fixes, maps, events, all the basics really) meanwhile they'll have their favorite little testbed in the corner, and whatever they might've thought of on their 'hiatus' of sorts finally have somewhere to go
I don't know about that. DOTA 2 is a whole new genre for them, and there's a lot of room for experimentation there. I could see DOTA 2 getting a vanilla tournament mode while Valve experiments with things like new heroes and modes.
For hats yes. For Weapons, no.
wrong; why? the backpack size limit. While true to some extent that you have access to "everything" the 50 bp backpack size completely limits your access to what all you can have, not to mention that you bp space for weapons is futher reduces by useless holiday items like spirit of giving, noisemakers and party hat; if tf2 was truly ftp there would be no backpack limit that forces you to either limit the weapons available to your loadout or become premium Your essentially given 1/2 the bp space needed furthermore set hats milkman, gas jockey croc and Sahara all have some strong game changing ablilities but VALVe cant remove the sets or allow them to drop like weapons due to that hurting mann co contribute-er sales The crafting recpies for weapons are soo redonculous expensive that its hard to craft them, a smarrt ftp will not have more than 1 of a weapon So is everything game changing available to ftps? no
Im amazed how much it dropped. Before people were willing to pay up to 30 keys or so. Now it's worth something like 10-15 keys.
let it keep dropping until 2-5 keys personally. the only reason it's so high is due to rarity~
What the fuck happened to my backpack. All my properly organized items are now suddenly in that hammerspace shit. Same happened to a friend. Anyone else? [editline]7th March 2013[/editline] http://tf2b.com/tf2/hypertailsx [editline]7th March 2013[/editline] Oh, uh, my ingame TF2 backpack is perfectly fine. TF2B what the fuck are you doing
TF2B's prolly just messed up, backpack's fine in-game.
