Lol no they dont at least for me
Then you probably have some sound mods installed.
Dear god, that is a manly sounding minigun. Half tempted to ask the emporium guys if they can release that as a mod.
I just hope they fix the sound bug on MvM this week, it's pretty annoying to keep hearing tanks, sentry busters and miniguns after a failed wave (yeah, I fail waves a lot, I'm sowwy).

Make the deflector only available as an MVM reward add a new mvm map Boom cash-cow time.
Make the deflector only available as an MVM reward add a new mvm map Boom cash-cow time.
also give it a custom model, preferably the goal keeper, give the creator a proportion of the ticket funds for every deflector/goalkeeper earned.
http://stats.tf/item/850/Deflector oh god what? i want it
Valve employee most likely.
Valve employee most likely.
Is there a way you can see who it belongs to?
I'm not expecting a patch until later this week. Even though it may have looked like a week and a half of no updates, it's only been like 3 work days since our last patch. So probably Wednesday or Thursday for any little fixes and stuff they want to get in before the big one next week.
A few days ago I noticed Brandon Reinhart finally started tweeting again after a year-long absence! His first tweet back:
Vacation is almost done. Then we return to crafting fine bits to add to #Dota2.
 Oh well, we've still got Steampipe to look forward to.
I still don't understand why we can't have the Deflector minigun as an actually weapon for the usual PvP modes. Add in slow rev and movement speed so that way it is balanced. Simple as taking a lung from a baby.

It doesn't even matter what sensible downsides you put. Imagine a scenario where there are two or three deflector heavies defending a point or preventing cart pushing with a dispenser near them. Ubered demos or ubered soldiers would be completely useless in taking out a sentry.
well yes yes I am. :v:
This looks better than Vs. Saxton Hale

He's been on the Dota 2 team for a very long time, at least as long as they've been accepting items and preparing cosmetics.

Just make the projectile deflection closer to the Heavy and a tight cone of deflection around the crosshair and you HAVE to aim at the projectile to stop it. Make it so that it can't get ammo from dispensers (or reflected projectiles if they become source of ammo IF implemented). Or maybe that it cannot pick up/get ammo while rev up and add a slower deploy time, maybe like the Brass Beast or less ammo overall so they can't be revved up as long as other Heavies. Just throwing out ideas.

I don't know, I'm horrible at balancing
Heavy's already about as deep as a Petri dish - the last thing he needs is a weapon that makes him even easier to play (see: natascha, tomislav)
The Deflector Destroys rockets and grenades on hit +40% eplosive damage taken -5% damage done Bullets are quite heavy (Syrenge-like flying arc)
It actually is! Put a downside like -50hp and it could definitely be balanced.
This looks better than Vs. Saxton Hale
It's not hard, I wish they would put in more effort into it.
I tried launching tf2 with -vr just so I can see that cool as shit thirdperson+firstperson mode. Error! Unable to pre-init VR tracker. Are all the cables on your HMD connected? Dammit, someone needs to make a way to fool tf2 into reading that that you are using the occulus rift.
I'll make those replace the Brass Beast's sounds.
Just made all the necessary files (empty, crit) and renamed the normal files. Now I'll go and test. coz you shouldn't cost metal to use, damnit
Yea, it was comical when the Widowmaker was buffed up to be a good weapon and they left the SC to just rot in backpacks and never be used. I see... maybe like 1 person a month using it. One random buff idea I had was doing 10x damage to wet players or anyone underwater with the Engineer. This would one shot most lighter classes and do substantial damage. But even so it wouldn't be useful... just a little addition to it since it seems to be such an electric weapon with no real electric powers. It's also an amazingly well designed weapon, which makes it being bad all the worse.
The Short Circuit probably needs one little change (like Ned suggested, Maybe Electrocution) to make it great. Right now it is decent but it is outclassed in damage by the Pistol and in Sentry Protection by the shield created by the Wrangler.

I thought it did 15 damage? :o
