So wait, who got a flies gibus, and why?
So wait, who got a flies gibus, and why?
guy found bug, used it, reported it, got email from DrunkenFool stating that they will give him untradeable unusual, he picked flies gibus
I suppose flies is a fitting effect for a bug-finder.
So what is the optimal hat/effect combo effect to pick in that situation for maximum worth? (if you can't pick unused hats like the Dota ones and unused effects)

Blizzard Holiday Headcase?
Burning HOUWAR/max/bills?
Ghosts Juju?
Sunbeams Summer Hat?

Depends on your opinion of worth
Eerie orbiting Flames Itsy bitsy Spyder though...

well you cant really have a maximum worth since it will be untradable, but I guess a sunbeams houwar
If I could have any though I'd have a circling heart lumbricus lid since that is my favourite hat

Forgot about the untradeable part though, but still.
I would have done something like Eerie Flames/Searing Plasma Aspect.
You'd want to pick something that can't be unusual, but would look nice with a particle.
Now if that Lightbulb robot version of the Aspect ever gets in, oh man, that'd be just sexy with sunbeams
I'm pretty sure flies gibus was a glorious choice.
It's ~themed~ !

its the tf2 steampipe beta, go to betas tab of your tf2 when it launches, you wont be able to join servers without steam pipe
it's the CSS conversion, it just happened via HLDS email.
So TF2... soon. It's really happening
I would have picked burning flames Point and Shoot. Then again, almost every unusual effect would look cool on it.
Anyone else having trouble starting TF2?
I started it, and it was unusually slow.
Once I connected to a server, I closed it since I wasn't getting any in-game audio.
Now whenever I open it, I get an error that says
Steam Startup() failed: Steam Startup(0xf,0x003DE378) failed with error 1:
failed to take master pipe connection lock
I'm only asking here since it says "pipe".
Oh god retard page king

is this it? the big moment of truth?

Honestly, getting rid of the validating on every start up issue is a big enough deal for me. I'd play TF2 way more if this wasn't happening and it wasn't a good 10 minutes from "I want to play TF2" to me being in a server.
They said TF2's conversion would be around the 24th didn't they?

I thought that was already solved by exiting Steam before closing the computer itself to make the validation bug go away. Or was that not true at all?
Or was that not true at all?
yes

I don't usually remember to do this heh

Heh, I always close Steam first and never got that bug, apart from a time when the power went out in the middle of a game.
steam pipe beta today full release next week

heh no kid', i honestly got time to make myself dinner while my tf2 is validating files, launching and the waiting to get into a server that happens to change map.
Still, I hope we get something cool with this update, or at least soon after. Even that comic would be nice to get soon, seeing as makani said a month ago it would take about a month to finish it.
