Yeeees, striped gloves! Now the enhanced Pyro couldn't possibly get better!
Is there going to be a texture-only version for people who don't want the higher-poly Pyro head? I'm personally DEFINITELY going to use the new Pyro head; I was just wondering for the sake of everyone else. It always has bothered me how low-poly the Pyro's head is; the pointy top always made me subconsciously think of his gas mask as some sort of fabric sock-like mask...with filters on it...

I was hoping for a system similar to the ones used for custom minecraft texturepacks, the painterly pack for example with neat example pictures. if anyone knows anything about these that would like to help, please contact me or nassimo also the tip of the head of pyro is actually that visible thanks to a smoothing error
I'm guessing the higher poly head mesh will include the original head as LODs, correct? [editline]20th October 2011[/editline]
My jaw literally dropped, fantastic work. I look forward to installing this pack.
My head exploded, and yet we're both still talking.

DOOD!! I was eating I didn't want to see that.
Why not?
Some people, like me, will only want some parts of the pack. Like the high quality pyro mask. The rest of it I have no need for.
Some people, like me, will only want some parts of the pack. Like the high quality pyro mask. The rest of it I have no need for.
You can't download it from the workshop so what's it matter if it's one submission on there.
While I still remember it, any requests or suggestions on optional stuff?
While I still remember it, any requests or suggestions on optional stuff?
better looking eyes
While I still remember it, any requests or suggestions on optional stuff?
fixing the revolver world model texture, it's out of place Oh and is there still options for the demo emblem?
fixing the revolver world model texture, it's out of place Oh and is there still options for the demo emblem?
i think neo already fixed that, and yes there will be options for the logos [editline]20th October 2011[/editline]
better looking eyes
better how? I see no way of improving them really
i think neo already fixed that, and yes there will be options for the logos [editline]20th October 2011[/editline] better how? I see no way of improving them really
ok, add eyelashes
4-barreled Pipebomb launcher. Yes I know it's been done, but you should ask the creator if you can include it into the final submission because it's been cruelly not in TF2 for ages.
You can't download it from the workshop so what's it matter if it's one submission on there.
I was just saying because you might not get the same amount of approval from people if you submit them as one
As far as submissions to Valve, I'd actually recommend speaking directly to Valve via email first, as this pack, while well intentioned, does directly edit models that were made by paid staff, as opposed to supplementing assets that are just hidden. While I'm sure that the original modeling and dev team would be thrilled to know that someone took the extra time to polish off things they weren't able to fix, especially for a game that's going on 4 years old, the legal rights to replacing game assets for all players may require some negotiations or paperwork.

Valve knew that's what it was when they added it to the game and were fine about it and let the author profit from it

Unlike other submissions to this point, this pack would change game assets for all players involuntarily, as opposed to voluntary purchases like how everything else in the Mann Co. store works. The Fancy Fedora is already an asset that already has a binding contract (in terms of royalties) between Valve an author, and as neither Ben or Csoft are getting the profits from the Capo (which is a minor edit from said asset), nothing illegal has been done (since Valve can rightly point out to the part of the contract which essentially states that they can edit the asset however they want.) I should note that those two did try to submit the self-made hat to undo that error, but Valve refused (think "toothpaste out of the tube".) Even if Nassholtzen* agree to give Valve those retooled assets free-of-charge, that should still be put on paper for legal reasons, given that this is a new kind of submission animal. *Combining names is a practice by American tabloids for celebrity couples, and I'm lazy/tired atm so I'd rather explain that then re type both names. :p

Valve has changed the demo textures 3 times to change just the logo so changing default content doesn't seem an issue. the rest of your reply about contracts etc I cant make head nor tail of. If submitted i'm not sure they'd get anything in terms of self made items or Man Co money but that's no different to Neo's killicons
lol, Nassholtzen Yeah if valve does accept our stuff we'd probably only get a community weapon each or something, but the chances of them actually doing that is quite slim I'd think
I hope these are just some anomaly that has since been fixed, right? First two arrows from the left just show that the gray strap texture seems to be "bleeding" into the Pyro's fireproof suit. The third arrow show some color anomalies. The strap seems to be olive green or turquoise for some strange reason. Similar problems on the blue Pyro as well.

The gloves are just a personal edit of Nassimo, you will get a striped version aswell.
I see you made the canister on the Pyro's back cream spirit.
damn dat pyro is sexy any, just any release dates? even incredibly optimistic?
My guess is that it'll be released somewhere in early November.
Too bad TF2 isn't really stable now if you have lots of skins. Also dont let this project die D:
Any update on this?
Yep, the generals textures are done, just need new Soldier & Engineer normal's map. Making the site atm.
Lookin' good.
