Are you going to make the sharp edges around collars and sleeves more rounded?

The Pyro's gloves, in first person looks normal, but, in third they are completely black (no yellow colors).
The Heavy's gloves looks different too, like more brown, it's that intentional?
Other than that and the big filesize, everything it's perfect.
I noticed a distinct lack of Striped Tie and buttons on the Spy's coat.
What happened there?
Otherwise, the pack looks amazing.

Well, I'm aware of that, but think there are still people with slow computers which can't handle big textures. Also, we can use the original pack to make machinimas/high quality images, and the compressed pack to play without any memory problem. I mean, some textures are needlessly big, like the Medic's gloves (4MB uncompressed, 683kb compressed) or the Soldier's sleeves. I don't want to sound rude, just pointing that.

Yeah, I get where you're coming from, don't worry. The normal maps would have to stay uncompressed unless you wanted the pixelation to come back, though...!

more brown? they're the same color as the vest now, so they're less brown than before, but i think the view is more blue

it should be noted that phong (including rimlight) looks quite different in game, mostly it's not as bright as in mdlviewer, where it's the brightest possible

Having tried the "black" version....I kinda don't want to go back. :p
I mean, I realize they added the cuff and fingertips so that the hands actually read from a glance, but honestly I'm beginning to see why people try to get rid of them on Pyro.
Are you guys going to do something with gibs?

I sort of feel the opposite way. Almost feels a little out of place to only use that desaturated yellow color on the gloves. It'd be nice if the toe tips and the top rim of the boots had the same desaturated yellow color. When the gloves are all black, it just makes a large portion of Pyro's body look like a big fat blob. His gloves are extra wide and thick and go all the way to his/her elbows. Removing those stripes removes visual cue and makes it look boring.
But it's a good thing Nassimo and Blaholtzen are considering options for these skins so that everyone can get what they want. That's the wonder of client-side skins.

just a little question: will it reduce fps?
Having a bit of a problem getting it to work properly. It runs fine before I try to get into a game and I'm messing with the class loadouts. However, when I go to join a server my game will crash while loading. When I delete the new textures it works fine again.
It looks great though!
Is there any good Uber textures that can go with these?

like razi said, Hecates does the gibs, he has all the blood details in separate layers that he can put over any texture so it's basically done, I think he said he'd fix up gibs for the prerelease

the soles on the boots are actually a very grayed out version of the yellow glove detail
(putting the same yellow on them would drag unwanted attention to the feet)
and though i know many people say it looks out of place it just doesn't in my eyes, so i find it somewhat hard to "fix" it
I'll try a version with a clolr closer to the metal on the mask and the soles of the shoes, wouldn't stick out as much and wouldn't leave them looking plain
