Another idea: How about a bullet belt for the Heavy? I'd like to see that.
Why no Hermes Scout? Seemed to fit rather well. Also NassimO what maskless Spy retexture is that in your avatar?
Scout and Spy doesn't use arm logos
Another idea: How about a bullet belt for the Heavy? The Idea behind a good emblem according to me is: Readability, since they're quite small. Simplicity, some logos are simpler than others, I'm hoping to have sets of logos with matching amount of detail. Symbolism, Kinda dislike having actual in game items since they're often stylized as opposed to simple symbols that anyone can understand. And naturally they need to generally look good and balanced, about 50/50 in terms of team color vs yellow. Some are obviously more related to the class and some more to the character. Those all kinda blend in with each other too.
Nah, I don't see the point in having an emblem of something that is already on the character, I scrapped the soldier helmet for the same reason, feels redundant.
I'd still have them available. [editline]30th December 2011[/editline]
Scout and Spy doesn't use arm logos
I actually have solutions to both of those problems, neither or which drastically alter their current appearance. I'll PM you when i have time.
I'd still have them available.
Naturally, they're just in another folder ritht now, separated from the others.
I actually have solutions to both of those problems, neither or which drastically alter their current appearance.
Do tell It might be worth mentioning however that i tried putting arm logos on spy but the stretching pretty much ruined it, and on scout (poking out from the folded sleeve) but it just looked like a hole in his shirt due to his skin being so yellow...
I'd personally like to have the extra logos, not necessarily included in the magical zip compiler I assume you're going to build, but in some other zip just for ease. Those are cool looking logos regardless of whether or not they're practical.
Also NassimO what maskless Spy retexture is that in your avatar?
My avatar is a "totally redone face" Spy model, made by MaxOfS2D.
My avatar is a "totally redone face" Spy model, made by MaxOfS2D.
Mind sending it to me?
yeah same pls
Mind sending it to me?
it's private (and it wasn't made by me)
I made some, for fun. Feel free to use them, or take inspiration.
Those are all nice, but I've made an emblem that best represents the updated role of each class in TF2 today: :v:
Demo could use a sword then if you are doing up to date tf2 roles.
it's private (and it wasn't made by me)
Oh yeah I forgot I emailed you about that. I'm gonna guess it was made by Rebbacus?
Oh yeah I forgot I emailed you about that. I'm gonna guess it was made by Rebbacus?
Why is the only good maskless spy skin private Why

so pointless
so pointless
This thread is mostly pointless. Your point?
This thread is mostly pointless. Your point?
you need to stop being so defensive with people and their differing opinions. You retaliate like they are personally attacking you and say stupid stuff as a result. This thread is about a big TF2 project being made by a very small group of people, a project that you yourself are looking forward to judging by your previous posts in this thread so there no reason to say that. Also if I were one of the authors of this I would be quite offended by someone saying that.

Thus, Neo making a drive-by statement on my concept being too subtle to be worth the effort is at best a bad attempt at sarcasm, but if he meant that the very notion of such an idea is pointless, he's reading the wrong thread. I admit that my response was equally curt, but I stand behind the intent of my response.
Demo could use a sword then if you are doing up to date tf2 roles.
That's actually a neat idea, i'll make a few demoknight logos as well
Those are all nice, but I've made an emblem that best represents the updated role of each class in TF2 today: :v:
well played however that represents TF2 more than it does any specific class

I've also made similar comments on that having alternate logos at all is pointless, but at least people can look for those in killcams if they really want to.

Ces't la vie (or something like that.)
I thought the scout's logo could always be big on the front like a tee print. He seems arrogant enough to wear it with pride.
I thought the scout's logo could always be big on the front like a tee print. He seems arrogant enough to wear it with pride.
I think it'd look nice on the ends of his bag.
I thought the scout's logo could always be big on the front like a tee print. He seems arrogant enough to wear it with pride.
IIRC there's a chap on Gamebanana who made a TFC retexture of the Scout, who wears the logo as you describe. Mileage varies and all that.
Here's the current lineup: The bottom ones are scrapped/unused, at least for now. Probably also going to make a hammer one for engie.
funfact, the "concept rocket" soldier logo is based on this: [thumb]http://www.tf2.com/images/artwork/concept/soldierprofile.jpg[/thumb] and the eagle soldier logo is from the buff banner backpack
An idea for a spies logo. Make it a back with an arm behind it with fingers crossed. It could be stylistic, like the arm be part of the yellow part of something. Just an idea... Or possible a pair of lips with a finger to it.
IIRC there's a chap on Gamebanana who made a TFC retexture of the Scout, who wears the logo as you describe. Mileage varies and all that.
I made that
scout logo could be on his chest, like in tfc..
