I think the wear makes it to similar to the prop locker.
I think Sparkwire made a fix for that long ago. Not sure if we're really talking 'bout the same thing here.
Could I have a link to that? It's been bugging me since I bought the game three years ago.
I think the wear makes it to similar to the prop locker.
But the prop locker has very small brush strokes at the edges on the doors, not huge strokes placed apparently wherever. Those are subtle, these are massive.
To clear this up, nassimo based that texture on the old texture for the resupply locker that had brushstrokes and rust and naturally since it's sort of a big change we'll make the rust optional also note that the standard texture for it is 100% clean, not a single brushstroke or sign of usage apart form the ammo/health stickers, very rare to see that in tf2 which leads me to believe they re-UV'd it without having the time to remake the details he also changed the cross for obvious reasons [editline]19th January 2012[/editline]
i agree i like the the cleanliness of the vanilla locker. this new locker is a new style of the old one, which I don't think is what this texture pack is doing, right?
this change would go in the consistency department
I like it even more now I know the logic behind it [editline]19th January 2012[/editline] You should probably bake AO for the items in the locker, if you haven't
i think this uv uses one part for all shelves and both inside sides so we'd only be able to have shadows on the back part of the inside
I'd try to bake separately for each shelf and average between all of them. AO is a soft enough effect that it might look plausible.
I'd try to bake separately for each shelf and average between all of them. AO is a soft enough effect that it might look plausible.
that'd just looks wierd, in that case we're better off not having any shadows left by the items on the shelves
I'll see with badgerpig. Anyway,(lol, relevant) I need opinions on the arrows; which one is the most nicest ? or
I know that this is a week late, but I really dislike the brushstrokes. They look way too blocky and busy.
I know that this is a week late, but I really dislike the brushstrokes. They look way too blocky and busy.
Well, that's how paper looks like in TF2 imo:
those posters have a texture on them applied as well, you can see the same horizontal blob on the left on each of them. The brush strokes also have some more colour variance in them than the capture point sign.
can you improve the grenades on the Lumbricus Lid please?
Well, that's how paper looks like in TF2 imo:
But to be fair, those overlays are much smaller than those control point notifications (I believe. I'm not entirely sure which ones those are, but I'm guessing they're the rather large ones in gravel pit). I think the current brush strokes on the control points signs would be too large and thus too noticeable. I'm guessing it's not as bad as people are making them out to be, as when the player is in motion, it's far less likely anyone will notice, but in their current state, I think they are more noticeable than the examples you just posted.
Pretty sure that isn't paper. [editline]21st January 2012[/editline] The Control Point sign, I'm referring to.
It's paper. The posters & signs made of metal & steel have somes noises on them. Anyway, i added some opacity on them. I also remade the arrow sign. Olds ones are on top.
arrow is lacking brushstrokes
Indeed: I also removed the drips. It looked weird when the sign was rotated.

I guess it'll never look at them this thoroughly again anyway :V

it also has fewer bigger brush strokes and looks less jagged around the edges
I cannot wait when you will release it! (can i have a download of your progress(not the pre-release))
Hey, I downloaded the pre-release, and was curious as to why I got the Pyro without the stripes on her gloves. I'm also curious as to why some things that were made at least two months ago aren't in it, such as the Scout's Viewmodel bandages(That look more like the World View ones). I know it's a pre-release, but still...

I don't know if the bandages are going to be in the pack, I don't remember now. I hope we get a update soon I want the Heavy's gloves and the Sniper gibs fixed.
Hey could anyone re-upload the lighwarp that Max posted a few pages back. The link to it is dead: http://source.maxofs2d.net/models/pyro_lightwarp.vtf

A second pre-release is on the way.
I've decided not to share it anymore, sorry :v:
You are so evil. Well... back to the beta lightwarp.
I've decided not to share it anymore, sorry :v:
Any reasoning as to why? We promise not to steal your work and claim it as our own like SOME PEOPLE :v:
