It wouldn't surprise me if that were the case. He's crazy enough to come up with a safety measure like that only to screw it up by picking the incorrect forename. Though why he would still use the female variant without questioning it is beyond me.

And people should take the "Ivan = Heavy" thing with a grain of salt. Ivan is a generic name, and there are a ton of famous Ivans Strong Bad could've been referencing with that joke.
