VALVE IS NOT CREDIT TO COMMUNITY
Sigh, seriously? Is it possible to give less of a sh*t about a competition?
Valve IS trolling, keep it up till nobody plays the game anymore....
SPUF sucks.
SPUF sucks.
You can't be more right.
Because Valve isn't allowed to post news about their game's community on a blog specifically made to inform people of the game and its activity, and any blog post that doesn't have new content is obviously just trolling and meant to piss you off.
Get over yourselves, guys. Stop being such spoiled brats. Don't care about the news being posted? Then don't bitch about it, some people might actually find it an interesting piece of news. That's the point of a blog, last I checked.
Be glad they're even supporting a three-year old game for free and taking an active interest in what their community is up to. This game's fanbase is spoiled as fuck sometimes, it astounds me Valve even puts up with it half the time.

This. Well said.
Well, this is what you get if you tease the fanbase with "Coming Soon" too early, Nzdjh.
I will admit the lack of engineer update is getting aggravating.
But seriously, like nzdjh said, you guys are being fucking brats about it.
Oh yeah, and keep in mind that VALVe only said "Coming Soon".
A) if it came within this month, which is highly likely, it would classify as such.
B) VALVe time guys, you know better,

Sure, if it was some other time that wasn't within the several month time span after Valve said that the engie update would be released, we would probably care. Maybe not this particular blog post, but the other ones we would care about. It's just the fact that they flat out said it would be released soon several months ago, and many people are just waiting for that blog post with the release to come out. Since Valve has failed to do that AND made random blog posts with engie references, its pretty obvious that they know we're eager for it like teasing us with random blog posts that aren't really needed.

What you classify as "random blog posts that aren't really needed" might interest other people who play the game. As I said, the point of the blog is to give updates on the game and its community, regardless of whether you personally think it's interesting or not. Just because they make a quick little post about a community event they think is cool doesn't mean they're sitting around not working on the Engineer Update. Stop acting like they're wasting their time doing nothing just because they want to inform you of cool things in the community.
Also, a trailer telling you an update is "coming soon" doesn't mean that they're obligated to release it as soon as possible. They can take as long as they damn well please. You should be grateful you're even getting the update in the first place. Quit bitching, be patient, and stop acting like you're the only TF2 player who matters.

I don't give a shit about the engie update now,but Valve thinks that their community love to see an useless blog post about a comp match, seriously they atleast could post about the mac update(and add the new comic),or post the awesome stuff that people are making for the PolyCount Pack.
Also Nzdjh you are getting mad at a stupid thing, calm down and after all we are the community,so now we can't brag about useless blog posts?

Shouldn't be the whole blog post. Anyway anybody who cared about events like this would have signed up for it. Few find this information relevant. They should at least have a passing mention of the Engie update, like a "Hang in there guys, we're almost through" kinda thing.
Im sure the tf2 blog is related to all current events about the team's development of the game itself and the community. You people are impatient and crying over lack of updates. How long did it take for the scout update to come out from the pyro update?

I'm not saying they're not working on it, sure it's ok if they are. I'd rather have a good update then a shitty one but they shouldn't of said it was coming out soon that early and hinted at it so much when they're obviously not ready. Not to mention I don't remember bitching anywhere but if you say so.
bah i could have made a better poster
Give em a finger and they'll take your hand. Seems to apply to this topic.
I'm patiently awaiting the Engineer update, let Valve take all the time they need to make it great.
At least the poster is pretty awesome.
I am sorry but I have to strongly disagree. Posing is silly, LQ stuff all over it, random picture placed one over another with randomly faded edges.
No, I don't like that poster. Too goulashy. The THY TLR(or something like that), on the other hand, was awesome.

I definitely read "JOHN FREE MAN AND THE ZOMBIE GOASTS" in Johns voice.

We had a heavy update between those two. But I sort of agree.
Yay for the blog post :v:
Bad news is, I have to sift through all these friend requests now... I also have to go through pages and pages of signups on the thread.
I hate how they only think 2 soldiers 2 scouts a medic and demo is the only balanced way to compete. ugh.

Valve sucks at greenscreen
you can still see the green on the spy's arm
Not even Valve, guys. Artist credit at the bottom right side.
Goddamnit ninja'd
But yeah, not valve.
VAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALVEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
Come on, at least post "Pros Vs. Pubbers: Final battle" as the title so we don't go :buddy: then open the thread/blog and :smithicide:

Well what way would you do it then?
This was posted on the steam forums nearly a YEAR ago and valve finally decided to hype it up.
FYI, I sent an email to him with the proposal of putting it on the blog more than a month ago. I sent him the final posters and thread info a week ago (about the same time it was made) and now it's been posted on the blog.
Sorry to those people who are looking for the engie update instead of this, I was actually expecting the poster to be posted in a whole community-news post. It's funny reading on the steam forums though, for people looking for info about the engie update in the poster.
Atleast they could have put effort on the poster.

notice how the classes with splash damage and the ability to gain great mobility are the most popular classes.
