Okay, are the mediguns cursed or something? I've literally replaced the world model (trying to work on the v_model to work right.) So I decided to test it ingame. Alas, nothing, the game was using its original medigun model? In the console the game is spamming: SetupBones: invalid bone array size (1 - needs 9) SetupBones: invalid bone array size (1 - needs 9) SetupBones: invalid bone array size (1 - needs 9) SetupBones: invalid bone array size (1 - needs 9) SetupBones: invalid bone array size (1 - needs 9) SetupBones: invalid bone array size (1 - needs 9) I'm assuming: weapons\v_models\v_medigun_medic.mdl weapons\w_models\w_medigun.mdl" Are the correct locations right? I mean they appear in Model Viewer, why aren't they appearing ingame? Anyone who has modeled and replaced a medigun want to help me out with this?
BadassFreakingOverlord, for the love of god stop with the sentry, this may be pages late but it's complete shit.Im going to be a complete hypocrit here, but this is the quite possibly the dumbest skin i have ever seen /enter ban for flaming and being a jackass here
no, the dumbest skins are the anime player replacements.
no, the dumbest skins are the anime player replacements.
Reminds me of reags foxkit. TOTALLY NOT FURRY GUYS. ITS ANIME SO ITS OK :downs:
Here's one Neo: a Kilt + Steel breastplate for demo. Animated to flow behind him like the medic's cape/jacket, and, of course, tall stockings. Suggested use: replaces grenade launcher and adds more speed/health/damage resistance, so you can be super-tough with only melee or p. tough with melee and stickies. Or, you could do just the kilt and submit it as a misc. Anyway the demo needs a dang kilt already, they've touched on every other Scottish stereotype. :colbert:
I agree with Nano, its kinda odd they haven't done a kilt for him yet...
I agree with Nano, its kinda odd they haven't done a kilt for him yet...
LuigiMario made one, but he Contributed rather than releasing it. Which is a shame, because it looks so good.
Okay. So apparently Valve has the ACTUAL Medigun files hanging out with all the new custom weapon files in the c_models folder. Valve is obviously trolling me.
It's not even right pattern. It's meh to me.
Don't they need to be the same amount of characters as the original model to work? iirc I tried to hex some models some years back and never got it working cause of that.
No, just make sure to terminate it with a null character (hex 00). There's also a max length, ~64, but you shouldn't get close to that.
Its not as big as you'd think on him. The brim almost rides the top of his goggle strap. Nintendo owns the character, not the hat type. ---------- I really am not liking it. It looks like a default lv 1 with caution tape, extra barrels, and some boxish thingy on the back. It looks like crap to me, i am dead serious.
Sorry but, the entire concept is just bad. That's why it looks bad. If you're going for a cannon look, make it look like a sentryfied version of that.
I want to model something but have no ideas.
I have a request for a new Spy watch. Basically, along with rendering you invisible, it would short out communications in your general area. This includes voice chat, text chat, and incoming and outgoing kill notices. I also would like to request that Biodude finish those medals he was working on.

You guys still hatin' on mah sentry? Don't you have like anything else better to do, maybe play some tf2? Seriously give it a rest and go flame someone else. I just don't care anymore. Though i do admit it is fun seeing the community get riled up. People just came out of the woodwork at the last day. You'd think someone said weeaboo beatdown, or free beer or something. -- Ya i got to submit it all at the last minute. It was close, but its done for now. There are probably a few things i can fix and resubmit, but i need a break.
Communist Cake looks awesome, I say go for a smoother looking stock though, but I think most of the "TF2-Look" will come out in the texturing.
Looks like I have my work cut out for me.
So bigbadbarron wanted me to make this, it seemed interesting, so I decided to make it. It still needs to get smoothed. Any suggestions on making the model fit TF2 more?
Looking great!
I have a request for a new Spy watch. Basically, along with rendering you invisible, it would short out communications in your general area. This includes voice chat, text chat, and incoming and outgoing kill notices.
Reminds me of an idea i had earlier. when the spy taunts with his disguise box(or a custom replacement) it tosses down a cigarette butt. well the butt would have a tiny microphone that would hone in on enemy communications held near the butt. (great for use near spawns) downside would be limited battery life for the devices, and if shot they would break up like stickies with 1 hp. There also might be a 1 out at a time cap and it might still emit a small smoke/ember-glow particle effect to alert cautious players. that actually would make a great combo. First block out communications, then listen to them exclusively. Then relay the info back to your team.
Okay, replacing the c_model of the Medigun gives me even MORE interesting results. 1. World Model works perfectly. 2. View Model works, but doesn't. Specifically, if you have the Kritzkrieg selected, the viewmodel works fine, with the kritzkrieg part clipping through my model. Switching to the normal medigun causes no response. Just invisible medigun and medic hands. The shit? Where's the viewmodel of the Medigun located?

It's been a while since I made something for TF2 but this concept is really calling me out.

People tell you what they think should be improved. You take note of it and move on; there's no need to lash out at every person who gives you feedback on your work. You take the feedback into consideration and move on with your work. I'm not saying "implement all suggestions"; I'm saying that you need to listen to people and either take their suggestions or leave them. There's no point in arguing over suggestions. The whole point of posting work in this thread is to show progress on WIPs and get feedback on them for further improvement. This thread is not meant to show off and if that is your intention, then I politely ask that you take your work elsewhere instead of kicking up more shitstorms by posting work and then lashing out at anybody who dislikes it. And as has been explained before, people are "coming out of the woodwork on the last day" because when something is nearing completion or deadline, people are more adamant about making sure it looks right. Nobody wants a half-assed job handed in as a finished product, and the only reason anybody is bothering to give you suggestions on your work is because they want to see it become something worthwhile. People are only starting to use irritated language because you're being visibly resistant to any suggestion you get.
Do you mind if I'd try my hand at this? It's been a while since I made something for TF2 but this concept is really calling me out.
wow, i just started to model it. why you do this to me
wow, i just started to model it. why you do this to me
A race then? It could settle the score...
Question. What program do you guys use to model?

"The wheels and stripes look like shit" "The wheels are shit." "Why so many stripes, they're shit." Instead of... "I don't like those stripes and wheels, maybe it'd look better without them?" [editline]02:11AM[/editline]
Question. What program do you guys use to model?
3DS Max, Blender, and I've heard a few people use Milkshake... But I've mostly seen the first two.

Rate me bad spelling for being dumb. Another Edit : also i love shugo for him being so polite and smart. Also another edit : why would you need a break, you didn't do much but re-color a sentry.
I have to agree with you...
