Includemodel is the easiest way of doing it, just put the files directly in the anims folder or whatever you have, and recompile and put them where they should be, it's really not that hard, and it's only a 3 minute job.
yeah, spy's viewmodel breaks upon decompiling. Like Zebus said, duplicate the spy_animations.mdl, put it in the same place as your .qc file, and rename it spy_animations2.mdl and write this in the qc: "$includemodel" "spy_animations2.mdl"
Hey guys. I haven't been working on getting the Punk Headband update up yet. I was in a car accident this weekend and I'm bruised from the neck down. I can't really focus too hard on my monitor. Just wanted to let you guys know I'm fine and it'll be out eventually.

you dont even need all the files, just a renamed mdl file, like v_revolver_spy.ani.mdl
Would someone mind decompiling the view model for the sniper's rifle, and then exporting the model with bones to a .3ds file? I love blender, but I really hate not being able to import decompiled models properly.

I didn't. I modeled it with Blender and used Milkshape to make the SMD.
