It's possible, i got the ambassador to work with red and blue team colors
The model viewer says "ERROR Model attempted to load one or more VMT s it can't find"
And the medals of my heavy pack replace the earbuds, and the teamcolors work.

Yes, the team colour just makes it blend in, and it won't be very noticeable.
