So I assume no one wants to do the Dyno-mighty (demo TNT warhammer) then?
BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD TO DO MORE CONCEPTS THEN!

I was going to make it after my other one, as an alternate head.

Well you shalt do so, as long as I get proper credits.
Still going back to the drawing board though.
how about a cat as a melee weapon with jigglebones
how about a cat as a melee weapon with jigglebones
... you mean.
I was going to make it after my other one, as an alternate head.
If you do take the spikes off the handle so its more different-er
And put blood on the hammer
... you mean.
holding a cat by a stiff tail and it wiggles around all over when you swing. like the bat.

I think he means his avatar...
its so dumb but funny and good that it wouldnt be funny or good at all
If you do take the spikes off the handle so its more different-er

Well it certainly wasn't going to look identical to the concept, I just meant the general idea of dynamite in a (possibly) wooden hammer head.
[editline]10:25PM[/editline]
I might not make it at all actually, the sword anims really aren't appropriate
Unless of course you actually had a good different idea you would be pitching, They aren't going anywhere.
Besides they sort of go with the sco. res. Caution stripes are indeed in the tf2 style.
Don't like em? Then don't participate in them.
Sorry man.
Not everyone is vocal with their opinion. Polls allow even those who do not normally participate in the thread to share their opinions.
Not to be rude, but I just don't care what you have to say at this point. I think you need a new avatar, a new attitude, and a new mod to submit to this site. Do something besides complaining, its all you been posting lately with few exceptions.
BadAssFreakinOverlord or how I stopped worrying and learned to ignore criticism
how about a cat as a melee weapon with jigglebones
God damnit stop taking my ideas.
I was working on it, but damn cats don't want to sit in one place.
I have a quick question. Should I go with an ultra-smoothed version of my hat, which has 1600 polys

Or improve the other version, which has 900 polys?

By improving I mean those thingys on top of the hat.
I'm asking, because I remember someone saying the Kabuto has polys way over 800 and I wanted to know if 1600 isn't too much. I suspect it is though.
900

Is 11,030 too much?
It's not out of the norm, but for what you're making, it's quite high.
Remove the ugly looking gear parts in favor of a more rounded part. You can also get rid of a ton of polygons by consolidating those plate looking things into 1 cylinder, and use a texture to make it look like multiple items. Doing just that can easily shed off several thousand polygons, which you can use to smooth out the dome.
Alright, I'll try to do that.
Okay, here goes nothing

The battleaxe used to look like this, as a sort of reference for how early on this is: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/900111/cp_yukon_final0001.jpg
Looking for ideas for the grip and stick btw, head's looking pretty good imo (tell me if you disagree though of course)
What about some sort of wrap around the pole as a makeshift grip? Also a crack or two in the hammer part would probably look good.
Yeah, cracks were gonna be last once I'd decided on the materials. Not sure which bits are wood/metal atm.
[editline]11:09PM[/editline]
Well, what sort of wrap did you have in mind?

Sortof like this, [img_thumb]http://images.golf365.com/09/03/496x259/SoftSpikes-Club-Grip_2053386.jpg[/img_thumb] But more make shift looking, and a different material.
Okay I know it's possible to give yourself hats you don't have on your own local server for testing purposes.
So can someone write me up a script to give me EVERY Scout hat? ALL of them?

Will it do?
What's the command for giving yourself a hat?

Didn't VALVe patch that a while ago?
I took some better renders and stayed up last night to make a more cohesive presentation for my polycount project.
Still having not much luck with the viewmodels, though I only got about an hour into troubleshooting so far. Gotta finish that and do some icon stuff before I can release any of this for download, but it's getting there.

ah, just like the battlexe one, except it makes a bit more sense. Wonder what the best of modelling that would be.
