We actually hit the image limit again, so I plan to keep the current unreleased mods on hold for now, to be put in the newest Emporium when it's out.
It's either that or we have to cannibalize images out of the current (almost over) OP.
Is everyone okay with that?
Ok

Sorry for all these request but can someone make a silver dead ringer backpack icon?
Jesus, that's the first time we hit the limit in... how long?
Also, move them over to the next one :P

This is the silver dead ringer i want a backpack icon for!
Hey guys, i'm glad the polycount contest is over. Now i can get to work on my ridiculous ideas for weapons.
Speaking of which, here is one i started working on a couple of hours ago.

Yes that IS infact a sniper rifle fused with a old camera. Complete with a old timey flash. Still working on brackets to hold everything, but its getting there. Gonna rig it all up with wires as well.
In the end, i hope to do a scope texture replacement that will make it look like a old camera, with all the fuzz, hairs, and sepia effect when you look down the scope.
Inspiration came from this piece of art work:

Alright, so I made the wood and the metal darker, I modeled out the bullet hole, and I made the handle wood.
Can I start making the details? Or is there something else that needs to be done?
Make wood more red and less yellow.
But that would mean I have to use team colors, and I'm not sure blue wood would look that good.
Ok, So i get this problem when i open up OBJ files in milkshape:

it looks black right?
here is the texture, And it is applied to the model correctly:

[editline]11:47AM[/editline]
and it is UV'd correctly
anyone know how to get rid of the problem?

Make the red team's more cedar, blu team's more pine.

When exporting, did you also check all the boxes to take along UV coordinates and textures?
Nearly the end of the emporium, time for the next !
I love the minigun mods you guys are doing.
I really hope Communist Cake's one will be accepted by Valve as a community weapon.

Maybe you should reserve the second post in the next thread just in case you reach the limit again?
I don't know if such thing is allowed but it would surely help this problem.

You are awesome, I asked that in the last emporium (I suppose) but everyone ignored it.
Hey, a little HUD request.
Since I'm playing with -nosound for better fps and no stuttering, I'm having a small problem noticing when the round has started.
So, If anyone would be so kind, I'd appriciate if he could make me a hud with timer, that goes red and bigger 5 seconds before round starts. Don't know if it's even possible. Well, but I hope so.
Cheers!
[editline]Heck, the -nosound is really helping fps.[/editline]
@The Kins
Sexy stuff right there.
[editline]I need new pc badly.[/editline]
About that hud, It would be cool if there was some visual signal when I am damaging someone.
Anyone? Please..

I'll just leave this here.
I still need to mess around with the VMTs and such.
Got any sounds to go with this ?
Also, bland texture is bland.
No sounds yet, and I still need to work on the texture.
Wow, that's humongous. Won't it clip with his legs when it's in the spun up animation?
Wow, that's humongous. Won't it clip with his legs when it's in the spun up animation?
Or with the floor?
Oddly enough it doesn't with the heavy, but if you crouch and it's spun up, it clips with the groumd. I think the minigun does that too.
make the crack more interesting/jagged. and the dirt kinda looks awkward how it's still staying in it's shape perfectly even with the cracked jar
You never get close to the crack to actually see any extra detail. It would be a waste of polys. Also, you've never handled a potted plant? The soil usually retains it's shape quite well even after being removed from the pot.

i have handled potted plants, and yes i know it retains the shape fairly well, but after a while, it can't stay like that forever, and you can say that detail thing for a lot of items, but that still doesn't stop people from trying to put a few extra polys here and there :|

If I were you I wouldn't bother with the pot. I'd model a pile of soil above the Pyro's head and make the flower stick out of it.

Honestly, I think you could do away with the Founding Fathers section. It isn't really necessary. But I suppose we so rarely hit the image limit that it doesn't really matter anyway. Thread's almost up.

argh, you guys better not start a new thread after i'm gone, unless someone wants to update the steam group in my absence

It would mean a bunch more work for me for a small detail nobody would see unless they open the damn thing up in model viewer, and got up really close to it.

Defeats the premise of "Potted Poppy" Don't you think? It's definitely a nice idea though. I'll have to give it a go as a side project.
