Still, what's up with the Loose Cannon's damage? Shows no damage penalty compared to the vanilla GL in its stats, but direct hits consistently do less damage. Wasn't that touched up in this patch?

It's the same with the Rescue Ranger, all Flare Guns, Huntsman, Crusader's Crossbow, and so forth.
Ah, so it is not a Grenade Launcher, but a new weapon type. That explains it, thanks.

It also explains how they made the Mangler projectiles travel slower than stock rockets and return as critical hits when reflected. It still is technically a grenade launcher, it's just that the projectiles aren't grenades.
Still, a Crossbow instead of a Syringe Gun, a Bow instead of a Sniper Rifle, or a Flare Gun/Laser Pistol instead of a Shotgun give a better feeling of all different weapon type than stuff like the Pomsom, Rescue Ranger, Cow Mangler or Loose Cannon.

But I think the biggest one who got downright raped is the cozy camper it makes sniper the weakest class in the game after kunai spy, And would deserve the downside removed or at least changed.

Some would require reworking, like adding health packs/metal, and in some cases like Lumberyard they would need to move the spawns further back, but it would be a pretty easy way to add more content to the game.

The jump boost is negligible and only applies to your first jump if you have the thing out which you would never normally have because it is a pretty worthless weapon in a fight.

The bullet resistance is only really helpful against Sniper bullets anyways; Otherwise, Valve just nerfed a perfectly decent shield. EDIT: Thanks to the change, it's harder to fulfil my Link fantasies too. It's not like he ever had 20% explosive vulnerability.

Of course it needs proper timing, but I have found it useful so far. Have yet to find a place where I can use all three weapons to full effect however.
