thankyou
Valve needs to fix every single demo weapon besides the bottle and the sword: Pipebomb launcher: 4 shots, 6 EMPTY barrels, always puts bombs in the same slot and never rotates the barrel Loch n Load: Just plain lazy. Sticky bomb Launcher: One handed first person, two handed 3rd person? Scottish Resistance: First person again doesn't match third person Every melee other then the sword is referred to as a bottle by the demoman and occasionally makes a glass notice when it hits. Conclusion: Valve is lazy.
TF2 certainly has not been ruined.
Conclusion: Valve is lazy.
I know right? That definitely explains why they have been continually updating this game since 2007.

Nowadays, I don't pay attention to trading or anything like that. If you don't like it, ignore it. Valve have to make money. As awesome as it would be if they were magical money men, they aren't.
I don't feel it's ruined. But it is getting crowded. Imagine if the last 30 or so hats weren't released yet. All the promotional hats would seem cooler since MAN WE'RE FINALLY GETTING SOME NEW HATS. It just seems like we're getting to many hats too soon, and it's taking the focus of the game away from a class based shooter to a hat based trade simulator.
Ruined is going too far, but to say that TF2's been changed for the worse is accurate. Pisspoor optimisation, not fixing bugs, not fixing blatant balance issues, random drop system so new weapons become harder and harder to get, gimmick gamemodes (highlander and medieval) and completely ignorin/breaking the rules they had set for themselves for artstyle/colors etc. That people are still playing it is not a testament to how good TF2 is now. It's a testament to how good TF2 was when we started, before all this hat bullshit came into the game.

Considering the only option before the random drop system was achievement grinding for hours to receive every weapon, and you're guaranteed to receive a weapon during playtime with the random drop system, I'm not sure how it makes weapons extremely hard to get. Obviously bugs have been fixed in every update, and there aren't really any major balance issues besides some underpowered community weapons. The majority of the hats fit the artstyle and/or the classes, and all of the paint fits the color pallete except for the purple/pink and neon green paints. Also, I'm not sure how highlander is gimmicky. I can see how you think medieval is gimmicky, but highlander is just a competitive gamemode.
the facepunch community is the only part of the TF2 community that i like. that and some exceptions. most people are elitists and hat collectors, and its hard to work as a team now because of people spamming trade requests in the chat. these things dont affect the game that much for me, but i do miss them. i mean, i still find it fun, i just miss how simple it used to be if that makes any sense.
My favourite part of TF2 is my friends who don't whine at every update.

If you grabbed a friend or 2 you could've hit milestone 3 in 45 minutes for every update since they switched it to 18 achievements or less for milestone 3. I'm guaranteed to get a weapon. When there's 67 different weapons that can drop, along with crates, and a drop cap that limits you to 6-8 items a week To get a specific weapon, I'll need to be lucky enough to either have it drop right away or to have the right set of items drop and have a week's worth of drops in the exact order to get the weapon I need (2 weapons for the scrap, 3 for class token, 3 for slot token) ánd be lucky enough to get the right weapon on the first go, or I can hope for the tiny chance of getting the 2 weapons needed for the specific blueprints. As a test I decided to wait and see how long it took for a crit-a-cola to drop when it came out. I eventually traded one in because in 6 months time I hadn't gotten a single one. Yeah, minor, insignificant bugs have been fixed such as taunt glitching. Map clipping bugs (fence @ gravelpit B), Stickies being fired through walls, no kill icons etc all haven't been fixed. No major balance issues? Wrangler overpowered if the Engineer + team are even slightly competent, most weapons underpowered (some to the point of being a joke - Targe), Pyro underpowered and more have all been ongoing for ages and still aren't fixed. The majority of the hats do not fit in. Chieftan's Challenge, Brainslug, Pimp Hat, Berliner's Bucket to name a few. Highlander in general and competitive Highlander in specific is a joke. TF2 is a fluid game, where you constantly adapt your team layout to the enemy team layout. Being forced to run 1 of each class at all times even though there's a million and one situations where you'd be far better off switching to a 2nd of a certain class is superior is retarded. Being forced to run a Spy 100% of the time even though he'll lose a significant part of his effectiveness due to the fact the enemy always knows he's there, being forced to run a Pyro even though he can't do much on maps like fastlane is retarded. Why do you think every attempt at setting up a competitive Highlander league has died out after 1 season? Because after the first few matches people realise just how utterly shit it is. It's a gimmick, goes against what TF2 is about, it's fun for 1-2 matches and that's it.
Continually? Please review the gaps between updates and then come back to be with a straight face.
By continually, I mean frequenty/regularly. And not just major updates, but bug patches, and all that stuff which usually goes unnoticed. If Valve simply left TF2 as it was at release, it would have died quickly. Just look at the console versions.
