The only time i got "scammed" was back then when 1 key = 1 ref, a guy was selling a V. lugermorph for 12 refined, since you could only trade 8 items at the time the guy tells me i give him 4 ref first and he will give me an item as collateral.

We trade, i get his item and he gets the 4 ref, after that he removed me.

This reminds me of the time some guy tried sharking earbuds off my friend while on a Valve server. I told him to get up so I could troll the SHIT out of the guy. I went off for nearly 20 minutes making idiotic requests. He started off adding one all class hat, and I told him I didn't like it, so I started asking for random weapons, and would complain about the quality no matter what it was he put up first until he gave me one of a different quality. I then went on constantly asking for class hats and always said I liked them, but added "hmm, what else 'ya got" for about 10 minutes. He must've added close to 2 to 3 dozen hats by the time I was done, After that, I started going really outlandish, making crate requests. It started out as summer crates, then I decided I didn't want them, so I then insisted I wanted other crates. He added regular crates, and then I REALLY started having fun with it. I eventually ended up going so fucking far off the deep end, I told him I only wanted [B]EVEN[/B] numbered crates. HE asked if I meant salvaged, and I said nope--only even numbered crates. The best part is I don't think he ever caught onto me trolling him, because 10 minutes later he tried trading my friend again and actually offered up a 19 key unusual. I told him it looked dumb and I didn't want it; then blocked him.

He says though that there's a glitch in the bills hats where he makes the trade and doesn't get them. Now while that screamed absolute bullshit, I just looked at his profile rep (I was kind of an idiot at the time). Tons of rep. Now I really wanted those buds, but I'm still kind of skeptical and I look him up on steamrep and just like "Yeah cool scam attempt bro you're marked on steamrep" then he just deletes me.

I also had a time when I was running around with my max's head. Now it was painted team spirit and I had a full loadout going on, but this guy sends me a trade request. I ask my friend who the hell this guy is and he says "Oh he's some jackass who regulars the server." I then knew what I had to do.

In trade chat he was like "Oh you have bunny hat?" I said "Oh yeah, I got it from pre-ordering sam and max. I really don't want it though. :/ What's your offer on it?" He says "How about osme hats for them" and I go "Yeah sure!". I throw in my max's head and he puts in a few shitty craft hats, I ready up and then I cancel the trade at the last second. I just laughed my ass off, he probably thought he was about to hit it big too. I have no idea why he thinks he was gonna get a guy rocking a full loadout with a painted Max's head.
