Valve is like the guy that waits until the last minute to do his term paper and ends up copying most of it from Wikipedia.
In the end, he gets a passing grade, but it's sloppy and mostly not even his own work.
Well, atleast it's better than the new minigun. Probably the most useless weapon in the game.

The new minigun is really good for Defense. If you use it on offense its kinda useless.

That means I'm Valve.

except you not getting tons of money for your lazyness

Who says I'm not?
:smug:
The Loch-N-Load is perfect for taking out sentries and even wrangled sentries. If you know the arch and how to aim, this thing is a direct upgrade to the normal grenade launcher. Now if only it had good reload animations and killicons.
Honestly I'm much better with it, the faster grenade speed makes it much easier to land direct hits on enemies, with the normal one they can just dodge the grenades before they explode anyway. I took out a bunch of people, even Heavies and an Engineer and his sentry with it, when usually I'm shit with the normal grenade launcher.
[editline]21st December 2010[/editline]
Also, since they shatter on contact with a surface enemies don't realise I'm there before I find the right angle to kill them.
it's funny how the regular grenade launcher no longer has any grenades loaded into it
that's my fave

Mines does, but it's custom named so still uses w_ and v_ models afaik.
fucking nice one valve
Next update will probably have every class having a civilian Scout clipping into every player model and somehow Valve didn't notice it.

Every map except 2Fort will crash from an overload of models.
Except that's not possible since many maps have less models than 2fort.
-snip-
Look at the rest of the Demoman in this image. Notice how low quality the model is?
Yeah, that might have something to do with why he's holding it so weird, because a lot of the weapons are held weirdly when the model detail or LOD is low.
Fun fact: He has very low poly models in the video too...
The bombs should explode instead of vanishing.
Well, I was playing TF2 with my magnifying glass when I actually noticed a small spark from the Loch n' Load grenade.
They should really fix a lot of the issues with viewmodels.
Mostly every demo model, the sniper's watch, and some other ones.
Just tried the unused demo taunt in HLMV and it works perfectly for the Caber
video?
What should really be it's stats:
+15% damage
Explodes on hard surfaces, buildings, objects and players
-25% clip size
-25% max health on wearer
-Slows down charge n' targe cooltimer
And the reloading animation is shocking, do valve just look at it and go "Hmm, that ain't right maybe I should fix it" or "Nah fuck it, ship it bro"
Fun fact: He has very low poly models in the video too...
in facts, today i crafted the Loch n Load (via tokens) looked at how it was held in the loadout screen, and i didn't notice any clipping.
OP had a bad clipping hand because it's the low poly demoman model, the LOD one we can say
Also, it's stats REALLY needs rebalancing
It's also a terrible weapon that 'only does damage if you actually hit them'.
Direct Hit wants a word with you
Sure you can't just shoot it into a crowd of people and kill everyone at once, but it's a great anti sentry weapon and good at taking down heavies
and a good weapon overall if you're good at aiming.
Valve need a "fix it" week. The whole week every employee is given a chance to fix problems they know of instead of developing new content. Adobe has these events, and the result was SO many UI and work flow enhancements to Photoshop.....:allears:
Direct Hit wants a word with you.
Direct Hit sent me a letter. He wanted me to remind people that while even if he misses, he still has the potential to dole out a little bit of damage, thus making his ammo expenditure not a total waste, unlike his cousin the Loch n Load, who just half-asses being a Direct Hit-esque weapon to collect Direct-welfare.
So this new weapon requires 100% accurate shots, otherwise the grenade just hits the wall and goes, "Whatever".
Actually, someone should change that impact sprite/material so it says "Whatever" when the grenade hits a wall instead of a person.

I'm pretty sure you can't equip both at once.

It replaces the Pipe Bomb Launcher, not the Sitcky Bomb Launcher.

Oh
There are lots of things Valve haven't fixed, like the demoman grenade launcher reload. It just seems like they consider adding more content (Hats) more important then fixing what is already ingame.

Congratulations, you just figured out what Team Fortress 2 will become in a few years! An unplayable, unpatched game where the only goal is hats.
