I just looked up the "-nopix" launch option and found that it doesn't exist. It's a typo of "-noipx". :colbert:
Here's my slightly modified version of the shortcut. It won't mess up your resolution or anything like that.:

That and this shmuck informed me that some people are willing to trade hats for them, which I can't understand. At any rate I've adopted a "delete all crates on sight" policy so I'll likely use my one free key to open one random crate, then delete the rest.

It brings up the normal Steam window saying that it's preparing to launch TF2, then it opens a DOS command prompt, then launches TF2, but as soon as it gets past the initial loading screen, it minimizes itself and brings up another DOS command prompt that basically says the same things that the dev. console does.
Does that answer your question?
I tested it a bit earlier and, unfortunately, it does not work. TF2 "encounters a problem and needs to close" every time. :frown:

This starts up a command window with a local tf2 server on it. Works for idling, and shaves (for me) 500mb off my RAM.

I can scarcely contain my anticipation.
I gave away all of my hats to people who have none. I just don't see value in them anymore. But since i've been giving away hats, i've been acquiring more hats by random drops. so far i've given, blighted beak, black whoopee cap, snaggletooth, sober stuntman (found), johnny bravo hound dog, the heavy hair thing (found), rimmed raincatcher a bunch of metal and random weapons. its better to give than take, and fun playing with no unlocks
