Sparkwire (or anyone else), can you make a little tutorial on how to add the crit light wrap to skins that don't have them? I've googled and looked everywhere, but can't find anything.
Yay, HUD icons.
Yay, HUD icons.
Damn I want the female Scout model already!!!! please release it
What 3D modelling program do you use to do your models? I used Max back when I was doing animation but I read something about the .DMX files only working with Maya. So is Maya the best choice?
I use max. DMX is only if you want the animations to work, iirc. you can still import fothe decompiled dmx/smds into 3ds max.
Yay, HUD icons.
Glad to see it's gotten to the final polish, but I can't help but think that the right wrist looks too bent. I know it's just the perspective and probably works fine in-game, but it still seems slightly off. The regular scout doesn't do that either.
Can i get a render pic in a post, i want to know how it will look before i go and download it.
For those curious: Basically that.
Does anyone here use Maya? I might need some help because I don't want a model to lose faceposing (in the eyes) [editline]04:45AM[/editline] poor excuse for a turtle hat
Pick which one's better. I kinda like the left one cos it's more 'default' looking.
right, but with the eyes looking at you. [editline]05:01AM[/editline]
right, but with the eyes looking at you.
This, please. :3
2nd one, the first one looks like she has a broken arm

Yeah I have a slightly modded demoman model and I want to use the default faceposing on him (decompiling and recompiling breaks the eyes, as I'm sure you know), are you up for that? [editline]05:29AM[/editline] ps I have Maya too but I'm not going to pretend I know how to use it, especially the DMX plugins
Oh hai Someone needs to actually make this a spy replacement...
Right makes her look more speed oriented.
preferably royzo seeing as he already made and compiled the skelespy model
Jam, care to show the picture you're working off from?
Yep, here it is: Sorry for taking so long... Btw, I'm not doing the goggles because I don't have any modelling programs. And they'd probably look suckish anyways.
right, but with the eyes looking at you. [editline]05:01AM[/editline]
The eyes ARE looking at you...

Quickly, where is the Spy's disguise menu files? So I can change that scout too. Like the one you see when holding the disguise kit.
Quickly, where is the Spy's disguise menu files? So I can change that scout too. Like the one you see when holding the disguise kit.
The wonky face female Scout had the same setup you're going for; it may save time to just get a .rar of that one from FPSbanana, then cross-reference what files it replaced in the HUD/VGUI sections to what you've already done.
Pick which one's better.
Pick which one's better. I kinda like the left one cos it's more 'default' looking.
Side-by-side I like the left one better - the right one makes the image look sloppier since it's a static portrait and not a screenshot. Comparing to the original scout I find they lowered the gun more and generally made it a bit less "conspiring," more agressive. While I like the passive look of your image, tilting the gun down would fix the arm issue. I can't check if you can get the gun to lower & tilt like that in model viewer - no steam on this computer - so I don't know if it's exactly possible.
Quickly, where is the Spy's disguise menu files? So I can change that scout too. Like the one you see when holding the disguise kit.
I believe it shares the same images as the class selection menu - that is, "vgui/class_sel_sm_scout_blue" and related variations.
I hate the original class icons and use new ones, so I vote right.
Yeah I have a slightly modded demoman model and I want to use the default faceposing on him (decompiling and recompiling breaks the eyes, as I'm sure you know), are you up for that? You have a demoman model, and wish it to have the default face flexes? Im sure I can do that. Send me the files, and I'll do it when I get home.
Sounds exciting :v:
So let me get this straight. You have a demoman model, and wish it to have the default face flexes? Im sure I can do that. PMing you now
Who the fuck keeps rating people dumb and disagree even when theres nothing dumb about it or anything to disagree with? I know its trivial but this is unacceptable behavior.
This, is unacceptable.
Exactly what I said, Daimao can have a cruel sense of humour. He probably had something against you or your hat ideas from what I can tell. Either that or it was mere technical difficulties.
Daimao has got something against me. I think you all know why.
