Well, I've been doing a little more work on the Christmas pack. So far, the Christmas tree HUD is cleaned up and the Green Soldier isn't puke colored anymore.

Because I thought the texture it was looking for was dictated in the qc file.
No, the folder it looks for the "texture" (material) is dictated in the QC file, $cdmaterials
So I'm doing this in the wrong order? Because if I'm supposed to have a bitmap of my texture doesn't that mean I should have already unwrapped it and stuff?

If its a premade model, it should already be unwrapped for you. just apply the unwrap uv modfier, hit the edit button in said modifier, go to tools pack, apply. then save it as something, and give it a flat color (for testing or w/e you want). then save your texture as a vtf file the folder the qc points to. Ok, for future reference what do I do if it isn't a pre-mapped model and I have to UV Map it myself?
