Try to learn that using retardation sarcastically does not make you funny nor better.
Flame war ends this page.
Hmm... Is there a written/video tutorial I can look out to do this properly and not keep asking questions?

Home (facepunch.com) > Games > Valve Games and Mods > Team Fortress 2
he said it is a TF2 FORUM, not TF2 WEBSITE
ps, forum is the bolded one, website is underlined.
Website > Category > Forum > Sub Forum
well. it means "at/to people"
doesn't make sense. (i studied latin for the last 3 years)
It is used out of context. Saying that the person is attacking the debator, not the subject. It means the person is making the argument personal and is diverting the attention from the topic and making direct insults to the opponent.

"argumentum ad hominem" makes sense.
"ad hominem" is like saying "how you today"
Guys, can we go back to mods?

I agree, all this bickering is wasting future posts that could be awesome. like you know mods..
People are lazy. They WILL find a way to shorten things up.

The post wouldn't have had much impact had I spelt it normally.
But more importantly
Has anyone made a mod that puts the demoman in a kilt yet? I started one but I'm not sure whether I should finish it or not?
Needs:
A better kilt texture
More kilt details (bags, strings, a belt, etc)
Less lumpy legs (olololo)
A replacement for the "ka-boom" taunt, the current one's pretty screwed as I'm sure can imagine. I'm thinking bagpipes or something.

Sparkwire, any progress on the Dead Space rig?

No no, just have him lift up his kilt. :smug:
That's a model not a hat right?
Yeah but it looks really nice with scottish hat on

Nice work, demoman rules. Keep up the good work on it, I may get it!
The other things that look odd about the kilt model is the texture. The plaid pattern doesn't look defined enough.

A better kilt texture was on the top of the list :)
I found this which looks WAY better than what I'm doing (except for my ones legs. The bare legs are essential imo), but I can't tell if it's photoshopped or in game, can someone with a DA account ask them for me?

It's photoshopped.
And your legs are perfect.
[sp]The demoman's are nice too.[/sp]

Someone seriously needs to make this a real skin.
Neo do you have any good tips for modelling?
Neo do you have any good tips for modelling?
Nah you'd have to check tutorials, but you're way at the start of learning to model so I'm not sure what sort of tips you're looking for?

Tips on mirroring/duplicating and welding something so you have a symmetrical object.

Make an airplane and go from there. That is how I got my experience. It also helps greatly if you can think in more then one direction. To be able to see things from top down view even though you may be facing it from a side or front. Can be a trained ability, but it helps a whole lot more if you got it naturally. It also can land you a good job in CAD/ drafting and design.
I remember seeing that a while ago. I vaguely remember him saying it was shopped and I was sorely disappointed. But I'm not positive, so I guess this post doesn't help at all. :v:
