The post wouldn't have had much impact had I spelt it normally. But more importantly Has anyone made a mod that puts the demoman in a kilt yet? I started one but I'm not sure whether I should finish it or not? Needs: A better kilt texture More kilt details (bags, strings, a belt, etc) Less lumpy legs (olololo) A replacement for the "ka-boom" taunt, the current one's pretty screwed as I'm sure can imagine. I'm thinking bagpipes or something.
Perhaps you could leave the Ka-Boom? Make it so he lifts his kilt and it's blurred or the smiley is there?
A better kilt texture was on the top of the list :) I found this which looks WAY better than what I'm doing (except for my ones legs. The bare legs are essential imo), but I can't tell if it's photoshopped or in game, can someone with a DA account ask them for me? http://the-loiterer.deviantart.com/art/TF2-Demoman-with-Kilt-133860670
It's a shop, I asked him like 2 months ago or something.
lol damo has a da account Thanks, I'll continue bravely onward then
lol damo has a da account Thanks, I'll continue bravely onward then
He was on FP and made a thread called "TF2 Demoman Kilt" http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=796605
I can't but help to feel that Daimao and Royzo somehow has something to do with the next upcoming update. :raise: :v:
I can't but help to feel that Daimao and Royzo somehow has something to do with the next upcoming update. :raise: :v:
You have betrayed all your friends and your employer, you killed all your teammates to get hats from Mister Royzo!
oh ya i remember that thread i wonder if that inspired me (probably)
I can't but help to feel that Daimao and Royzo somehow has something to do with the next upcoming update. :raise: :v:
I think Valve completely ditched the idea of community created hats. Edit: It would be a bit rude to break a promise though.
I think Valve completely ditched the idea of community created hats. Edit: It would be a bit rude to break a promise though.
Don't think they did, it's just Valve being Valve. We'll get our stuff somewhere in between 2010 and 2011.
Don't think they did, it's just Valve being Valve. We'll get our stuff somewhere in between 2010 and 2011.
Exactly. They'll a few years late, as always. Didn't they promise Episode Three to come out sometime last summer?
Exactly. They'll a few years late, as always. Didn't they promise Episode Three to come out sometime last summer?
Valve time.
Just wondering, have any of the big Emporium guys wrote a tutorial for making a hat from scratch?
Nope, but there was talk of doing it I think.
I might make a tutorial via hypercam.
Just wondering, have any of the big Emporium guys wrote a tutorial for making a hat from scratch?
Daimao was working on one :v:
I might make a tutorial via hypercam.
Then you should thank me for not messaging you.
Daimao was working on one :v:
Which means he quit working on it.
I might make a tutorial via hypercam.
Please record with hypercam pro or something like that and not Hypercam free, it's unberable to watch
Daimao was working on one :v:
I was? [editline]12:47AM[/editline] Step 1: Make a model Step 2: Apply the skin modifier. Step 3: Uv-map/texture it. Step 4: Export as smd. Step 5: Compile it. [editline]12:47AM[/editline] Done ;)
So ya, i got a little request. Ok, more like a big request. Repacement for soldier's rocket/rocket launcher. Source: http://imagechan.com/images/RPC.jpg
An easier option would be to replace the soldier's rockets with a chainsaw.
It's photoshopped. And your legs are perfect. [sp]The demoman's are nice too.[/sp]
I am so scared

Having to look for a different tutorial for each step where each step might be done a different method isn't exactly helpful.
Tutorials take a long time to make, and for something as small as hat making they're not really worth it. Just look up general source modelling stuff and apply it to your hats.

Anyways when I was reading the world model tutorial there was a step where he used milkshape to align the models so it would look properly when seen in third person. Is that the only method of doing so? When you model for Source it seems like you have to install a bajillion programs just to start.
3ds can do it too or anything
3ds can do it too or anything
All right, time to break out the Google-fu.
What do you want to make? ill make a quick recording of me doing it and getting compiled.
I just modelled a basic hammer type thing (a cylinder with a rectangular cube primitive on it) and I just wanted to go through the steps of decompiling the shovel viewmodel and recompile it on the default animations.
