He was rejected for being mentally unfit and went on his own independent Nazi killing spree after the war was over.
Soldier was never a soldier?
You are late
The Soldier Though he wanted desperately to fight in World War 2, the Soldier was rejected from every branch of the U.S. military. Undaunted, he bought his own ticket to Europe. After arriving and finally locating Poland, the Soldier taught himself how to load and fire a variety of weapons before embarking on a Nazi killing spree for which he was awarded several medals that he designed and made himself. His rampage ended immediately upon hearing about the end of the war in 1949.
Flawless flash.
http://www.teamfortress.com/war/soldier/03.htm There is a shovel strapped to table, look under it! There is a combat knife. Combat knife weapon?
It couldn't be, Helen said they would send him a new weapon every day until the job is done. Didn't read the entire thread so I don't know if I'm late.
Please point out where it says you can't rocket jump anymore and get less rockets. I apparently missed it
Look at the shape of the launcher. Then look at the part where it says 70% less splash damage.
I feel sad for soldier now :(
It couldn't be, Helen said they would send him a new weapon every day until the job is done. Didn't read the entire thread so I don't know if I'm late.
And one shipment get's mixed up with Captain Dan's Soup.
Soldier was never a soldier?
Nope, read his backstory. :)
Look at the shape of the launcher. Then look at the part where it says 70% less splash damage.
Wrong.
...70% smaller blast radius than a traditional rocket launcher.
That is not damage, that is the radios, meaning you have to be more accurate when firing your shots.
Either way I doubt it's going to improve rocketjumping. [editline]11:08PM[/editline] WHO RATED ME DUMB, YOU COULD JUST SAy DISAGREE.
It might, 25% damage could increase the jump distance a fair amount, we will have to wait and see.
the soldier has a crapload of "the rib place" boxes everywhere. can of soup AND ribs? sounds like something the soldier would get.
It might, 25% damage could increase the jump distance a fair amount, we will have to wait and see.
Also hurt more. Trust me, we go high enough. I just want padding.
Heh, TF2 symbol. Also, this map might say something:
I'm not to happy about the soldiers new weapon. I like the Eyelander, and Chargin' Targe. They seem like a good idea and a bad-ass combo. However, playing as a sucky Soldier who relies strongly on splash damage kills, I'm rather disappointed. I suppose I'm going to have to spend a while on all of the Soldiers training maps to work on my accuracy if I want to use The Direct Hit adequately.
Although I wholeheartedly agree with you, I realized how tr_walkway is a perfect training map for the Direct Hit. The launch pad is perfect for midair snipes (hockey term), if only you could get it to alternate launch height randomly.

I know there is a random option somewhere there.
SNIP they fixed #s
Also hurt more. Trust me, we go high enough. I just want padding.
soldier melee unlocks two small pillows. if its not equipped, its strapped to your feet, decreasing fall damage. can only be equipped when on the ground.
I agree with you, xpod1.
Soldier is getting a screaming eagle. :v:
Heh, TF2 symbol. Also, this map might say something:
I thought it looked vaguely like Europe with giant arrow towards Germany
You can, there should be a random strength setting there, or was it distance? I know there is a random option somewhere there.
I thought the random element was for bot movement. I think you have to change launch strength manually.
I thought the random element was fir bot movement. I think you have to change launch strength manually.
It's been a while since I played on the level, you should check later.
I thought it looked vaguely like Europe with giant arrow towards Germany
That is Germany.
Demo is actually making a comeback! GO DEMO!
The clues are indeed there... let's hope that we're not just imagining the Engineer Update will come with this one. By the way, I assume the water ring on the first paper was actually left by the Engineer's (Blue Streak) beer... the various smudges and tears on the paper could be a way of implying that the Engineer is hard at work over the issue, and is poring over the news releases while he tries to rectify the situation. Then again, all that is bullshit. The real reason I personally believe that the Engineer will be incorporated into the update is because it makes sense from a gameplay perspective. The Engineer update, standing alone, would be a million times worse than the one we are faced with now. Why? It's worse than chaotic, giblet-inducing warfare, it's trench warfare. My point being, there will be sentries around every corner, in every known nook, every conceivable cranny, craftily constructed concurr-... (*ahem*) My point being everyone and their mother will be playing Engineer, meaning that no one's going anywhere, doing anything, having fun. Remember folks, the Engineer solves practical problems: "How am I going to stop some big mean mother hubbard from tearing me a structurally superfluous new behind? The answer... use a gun. And if that don't work... use more gun." Unless Valve figures out a way to institute the Engineer Update (ie- engineer is given offensive or anti-building options) without these problems arising, this is the most logical possibility. The soldier and demoman, the two of the definitive anti-sentry classes, could easily offset the horrors of a pure engineer update Sorry, I've been writing too many essays lately; my language is too formal. I suppose I just could have said, "SCIENCE WILL SOLVE THIS, ME THINK." You'd be surprised how little time this actually took to write. :v: Also, writing makes me dumb, I s'pose.
It's been a while since I played on the level, you should check later.
Meh. My desktop's getting fixed so I'm stuck posting from my itouch. And regardless, I doubt anyone is willing to check it out with all the hubbub going around.
