The clues are indeed there... let's hope that we're not just imagining the Engineer Update will come with this one. By the way, I assume the water ring on the first paper was actually left by the Engineer's (Blue Streak) beer... the various smudges and tears on the paper could be a way of implying that the Engineer is hard at work over the issue, and is poring over the news releases while he tries to rectify the situation. Then again, all that is bullshit. The real reason I personally believe that the Engineer will be incorporated into the update is because it makes sense from a gameplay perspective. The Engineer update, standing alone, would be a million times worse than the one we are faced with now. Why? It's worse than chaotic, giblet-inducing warfare, it's trench warfare. My point being, there will be sentries around every corner, in every known nook, every conceivable cranny, craftily constructed concurr-... (*ahem*) My point being everyone and their mother will be playing Engineer, meaning that no one's going anywhere, doing anything, having fun. Remember folks, the Engineer solves practical problems: "How am I going to stop some big mean mother hubbard from tearing me a structurally superfluous new behind? The answer... use a gun. And if that don't work... use more gun." Unless Valve figures out a way to institute the Engineer Update (ie- engineer is given offensive or anti-building options) without these problems arising, this is the most logical possibility. The soldier and demoman, the two of the definitive anti-sentry classes, could easily offset the horrors of a pure engineer update Sorry, I've been writing too many essays lately; my language is too formal. I suppose I just could have said, "SCIENCE WILL SOLVE THIS, ME THINK."
this was well made. I completely agree with you about the engineer walls. no fun at all, without this update. maybe that's why it was first, to counter the future engineer stuff.
That's why I think it's 3 way, if the engineer's involved at all. Engineers everywhere and anti-building classes everywhere else.
the Direct Hit has a 70% smaller blast radius than a traditional rocket launcher. But the rockets that come out of this thing move fast and hit hard: 80% faster and with 25% more destructive force. Best of all, for you real sharpshooters, the Direct Hit guarantees mini-crits on airborne targets.
To quote a Twilight fan: "Squeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" My loyalty is to the Demoman forever, but...hot shit, do I want to use this. I've been hoping for a faster rocket and a contact detonation grenade launcher for a while now- I guess now I know the latter will never come, but 1/2 isn't bad. Fucking automerge.
I also agree with this. The Halloween update was just a stall for more time to get the engineer incorporated into this. HOLY SHIT PLOT TWIST!!! Engineer resolves the demoman's and soldier's conflict, they help take down the announcer, and they find a new wrench/PDA in her office! Bullshit, all of it, but I like the thought of it.
I don't know why but the Administrator reminds me of Cruella DeVille mixed with The Stepmother from Cinderella and the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland.
I don't know why but the Administrator reminds me of Cruella DeVille mixed with The Stepmother from Cinderella and the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland.
The queen if hearts was a fat, lazy whore. The administrator is a twig-thin, chain smoking bastard.
come on, soldiers! move it up! those maggots are getting closer! we must squash those demoman maggots like... maggots! to war, soldiers! to war!
I don't know why but the Administrator reminds me of Cruella DeVille mixed with The Stepmother from Cinderella and the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland.
aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh I must unsee
I enhanced the print screen of the map:
it's just a map from his Nazi killing, probably not special.
My thoughts exactly.
the 2 is no longer highlighted
Soldier is getting a screaming eagle. :v:
"Go get'em bloodwing!"
Coffee cup Boot stain Oil slick It better be a fucking engie update now, seriously. Camera pans up, newspapers scattered in the wind, the new sentry standing tall with a burning background. "SCIENCE HAS ENDED THE WAR."
Tears would be brought to the eyes, sir.

You'd be surprised how little time this actually took to write. :v: Also, writing makes me dumb, I s'pose.
we need more posts like this
Poor Soldier. He ended up being the more honorable one of the two, and he's been made out to be a bad guy for most of this update.
What do you mean, demoman said no too. They both said no and both got lied too, they are both honorable.
Even after being told the demoman betrayed him he didn't, he was attacked personally. He lasted longer.
Well we really don't know the demoman's final choice. He's just left standing there gripping the eyelander while whatshername walks away.
I'm kind of disappointed that the Soldier wasn't changed as much as the Demoman. The soup he's talking about probably gives him crits for x amount of seconds. I figured that'd be an item since the announcement of the WAR thing. I'll be using it anyway I guess. Nevertheless, I must fight for the soldier to prevent the demo from getting that fourth weapon!
I cannot stop ejaculating.
Soup?... Soup... uh, no. Blasphemy.
Melee is even less than secondary. You get the point.
I think you mean tertiary :eng101:. Rate me clocks, but I'm pretty sure the soldier's getting some sort of soup for one of his next weapons. [editline]05:17AM[/editline]
the 2 is no longer highlighted
I always wonder if they watch these forums for little things like that.

Ever since the "manly things to do" blog post was made I have wanted ribs.
maybe the soldier's last weapon will be Florida.
Soup?... Soup... uh, no. Blasphemy.
They're gonna bury what's left of 'em in a soup can!
They're gonna bury what's left of 'em in a soup can!
Soldier draws power from rancid soup. Who knows.

Great. Precision weapon. Every fucking soldier is going to sit there like they always have and precisely aim at my sentry, but now they get to blow it up even more quicker.
