I am the owner of the BusyBeingBrutal.com website/Game Server and wanted to clear up a few misunderstandings and misconceptions.
At the time when the decision was made to block FacePunch it was a just decision (for various reasons during that time) but I've decided (after all the apologies) to not ban the majority for the crimes of the few.
On the issue of my personal life, I am a recently unemployed father of 5 children (2 girls and 3 boys) and do host a website/server. Yes, I was asking for $1 for earbuds during the mac update but only decided to do that on the last day of the event (I made a total $32 during that event from 34 people) but all in all I had done over 350 FREE earbud requests.
The reason I did it was I was getting a lot of Taiwanese users acting as if I owed them the favor and were very rude/spammy so I opted this system instead and it was eating all my time (I was doing it by myself for 12 hours a day).
I did suffer an $80 loss due to the attacks and have had no help in paying it so it came out of pocket and thought that no offer to help financially for this to be a little cold but what's done is done. I will simply eat ramen for a few months or so to offset that.
I did make a few mistakes on who was innocent and who was guilty but as I mentioned to Mr. Gestapo, I'm a one man army going through 380+Mb log files for the webserver alone and trying to find a method to the madness so I apologize to those who were banned in error and take full responsibility for it and ask that Mr. Gestapo simply unban anyone involved.
Also, Mr. Gestapo is indeed CREDIT TO TEAM! and I appreciate his patience during all this and what he is doing now.
Anyhoot, it's been a learning experience for me and I'm sure most folks here but want to say that I like Facepunch and a lot of the stuff it does here is very well done :) I've also decided to join the Facepunch steam community to show my support for all the creative stuff you people come up with here :D
I hope this clears up a few misunderstandings and misconceptions that any of you may have had.

Well i think it's nice we sorted this all out.
Lets just say that facepunch does not move as a single entity like other communities such as SomethingAwful. It's become a bit of a tradition that facepunch cannot collaborate on something together for more that five minutes before infighting starts.
Our Dwarf Fortress succession games, for example, they never end because they end up turning right into oblivion.
A successful face-punch eve on-line corps has never been established and probably never will be.
See we can be nice people, it's just others aren't so if someone from facepunch joins your sever and acts like a little pranny, do us a favor, tell us who he is. As co-owner (sort of) of a tf2 server i could use as much information on horrible players as i can get.
