question: if i submit an item to the workshop publicly sometime around this week, and it may end up pretty fitting for halloween theme, can i resubmit a copy to the workshop privately closer to september 30th for this event?
i ask because i've seen people do re-submissions before when they submit something and valve asked specifically for halloween themed submissions afterwards so they submit it again, and also because i'd really like to not sit on multiple submissions for 2 or so months, since i think i am really close to completing them at the moment. it would be nice if they could participate, but i don't want them to break the rules or anything.

Well seeing as people are finding it 2spooky, I'd recommend keeping the idea but making it more like a costume shop toy, much like the headsplitter.
Make it have a badly blending bald cap on it and have the cuts/scars more visible as just printed onto the bald cap.
Maybe even jigglebone some of the nails lightly so it looks like they're made out of rubber.
