I've been busy, and I wanted to at least try. As for relating to Pikmin, sure, but why should that matter? There's been a Mario cap submitted for the Engineer, and there's also the Beep-Boy
Mario cap didn't get in-game. Beep Boy takes design cues from several things, not specifically the Gameboy. I'll admit I was highly surprised when that did get in, though.

The Mario cap most likely hasn't been accepted precisely because it's really similar and the Beep Boy is different enough (different basic shape, different button placement, a face for some reason) to work. Your item, on the other hand, is literally just a Pikmin antenna. It's not different in any way.

Please don't submit it. It's perfectly well off as a mod - if I thought there was a chance for blatently copyrighted content to get in-game, I would have submitted my Duel Disk long ago
Now that I've gotten some sleep, let me defend it with some actual thought put into it. I made that for fun. I didn't and still don't expect it to get ingame, so I mentioned the fact the update's soon to remind people that voting's an option. I did this since I recently had a submission go relatively noticed but with barely any votes even though hours and hours went into it. Having that happen doesn't feel very good at all.
As for why submit it, why not? It's not hurting anybody or anyone's submissions, since right now it's pretty much well known that VALVe has made their decisions for what'll get in or not, and it's not like I'm submitting [url=http://imageshack.us/a/img822/8559/wipscreenshot.png]these guys[/url]. As for why I made it so closely resembling Pikmin, there's things already in the game that are pretty close to the copyrighted original, being the Dr's Dapper Topper, Vita-Saw, and the Team Captain. Plus I thought it'd be a charming little thing to do since there was already a few things put onto the workshop that are reworked to fit the classes. I didn't expect it to be met with a negative response because of the time, but if you all want me to take it down, I will, and will upload a mod immediately to the Emporium instead.

The Dapper Topper is just a top hat with stripes (which are not red more than 50% of the time), the Team Captain is just a peaked cap and they specifically asked for permission to use the Vita-Saw (which is why they're not selling it in the Mann Co. The Bonk'n'Flash was reworked into the Bonk Boy, which still references the Flash, and with that logic I could simply say that it's a plant that grew out of their head due to an undigested seed, or that it's referencing Daisy-Head Mayzie. Look, I don't like to argue about things like this. I understand you guys dislike it due to copyright concerns, but still, if VALVe doesn't want it in the game, then they'll mark it incompatible or ignore it. I don't think the first will be the case though since the [url=http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=14607]Unlicensed Plumber's Cap[/url] has been up for a year and a half now without any action.

You hate it for it's obvious resemblance, but I must ask, how come you're being so hostile to me and completely ignoring the submission I referenced that would fall under the same category, as well as the rest of what I've been saying? You're focusing on that one point, discluding my other arguments for it.

Like I (and NeoDement) said earlier, it's not in the game precisely because it's too close to what it's referencing and thus falls into the rip-off category.
i wish valve would label compatible items that they reject so i don't give myself a false sense of hope, but the sheer number of rejections would probably make the workshop even more intimidating to newcomers than it already is.
