SFM doesn't support paints as far as I know, so if you really are using the paint for your item you'll need to have the color in the diffuse map (lightup_devil.vtf).
Other than that I would say try turning on and off (1-0) these parameters:

Don't be cross with me when I show off the gravestone I'm working on for Heavy. :P I mentioned awhile back that I had one WIP, but I think no one noticed. Hadn't been able to finish it due to work this week. Should be significantly different looking in any case.
I doubt he invented the concept of strapping gravestones to the classes.

I imagine a picture of the medic with his procedure mask like the original movie poster, but at the bottom, have the zombie team all wandering around and what not. Just a thought.

I wasn't trying to say you should use the line, it merely reminded me of it, so I posted it.
Doing your own stuff is always better.
Like I said last night, I changed the mesh of the band slightly so it's not so odd shaped, and added a generic buckle without destroying everything. Made the buckle similar to that on Pyro's straps.

I think if you kept it so that the pumpkin rind remained on the eyes and mouth, it'd look more like one whole, carved pumpkin (aside from the side filter pumpkin) and be a bit nicer. The rind around the eyes right now looks transplanted from some other pumpkin, but they could be carved out of the main one. The direction the rind lines point on the main pumpkin would work nice for the mouth grille, I think.

The eyes and mouth filter should be cut all the way through so it glows brighter.

I think this is ready for the workshop. Going to bake/export each tombstone separately, compile it for a mod, and then send it in. Might try to push myself and make a short video in SFM.

The skull looks kind of funny. I think it would look cool either without it or wrapped around the front? Like with the medigun coming out of the mouth. I dunno. I don't make items though so I'm not sure if my opinion really counts..
