Would anyone wanna draw this or is this just a bad idea?
I could try to draw it out on paper, I suppose. I don't have much else to do today. No promises though; as I still have my own concept to draw out.
My Little Book Can't Be This Uninteresting!
You could always add a little damage on it, or remove that bookmark and have a larger more detailed fabric one.
You could always add a little damage on it, or remove that bookmark and have a larger more detailed fabric one.
Most, if not all, of the damage will be in the texture. What kind of fabric one are you talking about?
My Little Book Can't Be This Uninteresting!
Give it a more defined book spine:
My Little Book Can't Be This Uninteresting!
Metal corners, dips where the covers would fold from opening the book, hanging ribbon bookmark, buckled leather strap to keep it closed, the spine being curved which in turn has the pages stacked curvedly, a few uneven pages sticking out, index tabs sticking out of the pages theyre attached to, jigglebones to make it flop open a bit during movement, paper trail like intel but much more discreet, hollowed pages to fit a gun, comedic hard-to-see summary on the back, details arranged so that it looks somewhat like a living creature... Any of those help?
You could always add a little damage on it, or remove that bookmark and have a larger more detailed fabric one.
Not the best example, but something like this, but more in keeping with TF2: http://static.giantbomb.com/uploads/original/14/141431/2275177-skyrim_book.png --- I also filled my cauldron up a bit better without the flat texture: But when it came to rigging the lowest lod this happens: So I can only guess that the bone I'm skinning to doesn't exist on the lowest soldier lod or something.
Most, if not all, of the damage will be in the texture. What kind of fabric one are you talking about?
I couldn't find what I presumed I was describing, was picturing something like this (without the old bookmark): [t]http://i.imgur.com/9H0WSzn.png[/t] Edit:
Metal corners, dips where the covers would fold from opening the book, hanging ribbon bookmark, buckled leather strap to keep it closed, the spine being curved which in turn has the pages stacked curvedly, a few uneven pages sticking out, index tabs sticking out of the pages theyre attached to, jigglebones to make it flop open a bit during movement, paper trail like intel but much more discreet, hollowed pages to fit a gun, comedic hard-to-see summary on the back, details arranged so that it looks somewhat like a living creature...
My Little Book Can't Be This Uninteresting!
You could be like the Bombinomicon and put a price sticker on it.
I tried making the hhh into a floating buddy item, just because i think he looks adorable.
Kariya's sleeveless sweater+wings and glasses for Scout
Here's something completely original (?); a huge book! Possibly an eldritch tome of unholy fire magick, possibly a '67 catalogue for Mann Co. Business Pants (they're yellow!). I'll probably add some stuff (like a bookmark and/or loose pages) to make it slightly less boxy but I kinda like it. Maybe I should make them styles. Any suggestions?
this wont work because pyro's backpack bodygroup is broken iirc
I can't put a BP icon into the importer for some reason. But otherwise, I think it's done.
your smoothing is all kinds of borked, there's no glass and the texture is flat
your smoothing is all kinds of borked, there's no glass and the texture is flat
I don't know how to make glass, and I'm even worse at texturing. I'll get to it on the smoothing though.
I don't know how to make glass, and I'm even worse at texturing. I'll get to it on the smoothing though.
The colours also don't seem very much like those of the TF2 palette, and it seems rather odd them being blue for both teams. Are they also paintable? And if you don't know how to make glass; now is probably a good time to learn. [sp]LEARNING IS FUN[/sp]
I tried making the hhh into a floating buddy item, just because i think he looks adorable.
Its so cute. I think you should also make a monoculous floating buddy. Youd pretty much just have to scale him down.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/CcZkW10.png[/t] ?
Its so cute. I think you should also make a monoculous floating buddy. You'd pretty much just have to scale him down.
I had an idea like this last year, but due to my lack of knowledge about... well everything, I was unable to do it. I think this year I'll finally give it a go. "Son of Monoculus: Jeepers Peepers!" was what I originally came up with. What a terrible name it is now.
obv no where near complete, how could I make this all around better :v:
My Little Book Can't Be This Uninteresting!
is this a reference to something?
is this a reference to something?
Because the combination of "my" and "little" is instantly a pony reference.
is this a reference to something?
My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute It's the name of an anime
Because the combination of "my" and "little" is instantly a pony reference.
Stop being defensive
My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute It's the name of an anime Stop being defensive
yeah i instantly thought of oreimo when i saw it, i wasnt sure if i was just seeing things however
Redoing one of the first hats I ever made-- seems relatively Halloween-ish
Oh my god it's the hamburglar.
obv no where near complete, how could I make this all around better :v:
Make those horns absolutely flat on the ends, maybe one or two wedges on the edges so it doesn't look too uniform. As far as I know, Hellboy's horns were/are filed/cut off.
More progress. Suggestions? [t]http://i.imgur.com/c3wb1Bg.png[/t] [editline]25th August 2013[/editline] Oh yeah, this is going to come with a secondary glowing goggles misc.

And hey, for the BLU skin, you could use aqua instead of green.
