I like this idea. However, I'd go for only 2 or 3 snakes but have them more wrapped around the head instead of emerging from just one spot.

Some sort of insane quack science phrenology device. It might read your mind or administer shock therapy! Also holy polycount batman, this is definitely going to have to be scaled down in detail and increased in chunkiness, but I liked drawing it!

Personally I'd start by removing the glasses, but thats just my opinion.
