dont use the auto "edge angle" setting. un-check mark it and mark the edges you want as sharp manually.

Stealing the lolichop texture isn't fair. Though I understand I have to improve it. I'll work oni t.
Candy cane became gum cane due to my extremely high UV-mapping skills. The cane layout is curved, so I can't make the stripes look good. And straightening the cane layout would cause other objects be small, which would lower their quality.

You can't just let it smooth automatically by the angle. You've gotta mark your edges as sharp and do it manually to get a good result.

That's actually a good idea. I believe marking sharp edges would definitely work. Now I just need to figure out how to make everything as smooth as possible.
