i'm trying to strike a balance, between the user not feeling the paint has been wasted on an item, and other players not feeling the paint area would be too obnoxious with the brighter colors.
if this looks balanced in that respect to you guys i'm going to go ahead and do sfm posters & submit it. so... does it?

Well, mainly because it's an insult to any hard work anyone DOES do on an item. A lot of people put a lot of time and effort into the items they submit, and a lot of the time they don't even get used.
Then someone copy and pastes a design from google, and it just rolls on into the game.
I was shocked enough when the Voodoo juju slight return copy and pasted the death card from google into its texture. But then this. i can't be the only one that's a bit surprised by this? I mean designing a pumpkin face isn't even a had thing to do...

About a year ago was linked to a bunch of royalty free templates for pumpkin faces on some website when i had trouble getting a decent one sorted
I admit it was lazy and pretty shitty to use them. but i didn't really expect a 20 minute joke item slapped together for a community update to even be considered for the game
Didn't know that they took those templates from another site/elsewhere though.
i think i heard someone got banned from the workshop for having a copyrighted item accepted? i think it was for dota? boo balloon guy is probably going to take the fall if disney knocks on gaben's door, although gabe might have to forefeit all the money from the boo balloon to disney.

Anyone would think those birdheads or zipper-face were 'joke' items. They aren't. Even the unicorn hat thing. Yet I put substantial amounts of effort into them, even if people see them as a 'joke'. So if they get in, they are of the highest quality!
