"- Fixed an exploit in Mann vs. Machine related to purchasing upgrades " No more having $4000 to spend on first wave! :v:
R.I.P Best Exploit ;_; [sp]Not counting infinite crits & uber one[/sp] :v:
Happy 400th Update!
Strongbox Crate 2014 [editline]9th January 2014[/editline] Really hope this means that End of the Line is coming sometime soon.
Funny they call it a strongbox, but have a lock with chains on it in the image. A Strongbox has the locking mechanism on the box itself, so the the extra lock with chains would be redundant. Extra security I guess.
- Added the ability to change an item's style in the class loadout menu
I suggested that to Robin years ago, which he liked, but forgot about, I guess. Still, nice to see it happen.
I suggested that to Robin years ago, which he liked, but forgot about, I guess. Still, nice to see it happen.
Now if only Valve added support for styles to the item importer...
What a pointless short circuit change. Why would they reduce the damage when it wasn't ever even the problem. The rate of fire was. [editline]Edit:[/editline] Actually, now that I think of it, it's only devastating to soldiers if you manage to land every shot.
Oh well, SC was fun until it lasted. But I'm okay with this.
[editline]Edit:[/editline] Actually, now that I think of it, it's only devastating to soldiers if you manage to land every shot.
But vanilla Demomen are literally obsoleted against a Short Circuit. :v: At least Soldiers have bullet options.
It's interesting the new crate is listed as being a strongbox as those are usually used for transporting valuables and money. not weapons or hats :U
But vanilla Demomen are literally obsoleted against a Short Circuit. :v: At least Soldiers have bullet options.
Or an Equalizer if they replaced their shotgun
It's interesting the new crate is listed as being a strongbox as those are usually used for transporting valuables and money. not weapons or hats :U
It is going to be a crate full of keys, Bill's, Earbuds, and Steam Wallet money. Or an exceedingly rare item!
But vanilla Demomen are literally obsoleted against a Short Circuit. :v: At least Soldiers have bullet options.
I don't mind a direct counter to sticky spamming.
It is going to be a crate full of keys, Bill's, Earbuds, and Steam Wallet money. Or an exceedingly rare item!
It's going to be filled only with Moustachium Bars and the Fishcake/Dalokohs will be buffed to be the best weapon in the game.
I don't mind a direct counter to sticky spamming.
this also counters ScoRes, which to my knowledge shouldn't be labeled as sticky spamming
this also counters ScoRes, which to my knowledge shouldn't be labeled as sticky spamming
But then again so does the scorch shot. So that isn't a problem. If you're careless enough to leave them out in plain sight then they aren't really much of a use but temporary area denial.
I don't mind a direct counter to sticky spamming.
That's how you're supposed to play demoman though. The stickybomb launcher was always meant to be an offensive aswell as defensive weapon. It's perfectly balanced because he can't really deathmatch with it, just put out damage.
But vanilla Demomen are literally obsoleted against a Short Circuit. :v: At least Soldiers have bullet options.
I didnt know short circuit removed their melee weapon.
I didnt know short circuit removed their melee weapon.
i didnt know engineers had to literally touch them to do their magic
I didnt know short circuit removed their melee weapon.
Then you will get lured into a sentry nest.
But then again so does the scorch shot. So that isn't a problem. If you're careless enough to leave them out in plain sight then they aren't really much of a use but temporary area denial.
the difference here being the pyro isn't capable of building sentries which were designed to be countered by demos
I didnt know short circuit removed their melee weapon.
You're gonna run into a sentry nest with only a bottle/sword?
Contrary to the patch notes, the short circuit now does 10 DAMAGE on each burst (-5 metal) Damage are as follows: Normal = 10 Mini Crit = 14 Crit = 10 Also the strange festive wrangler still doesn't count anything so...
It is going to be a crate full of keys, Bill's, Earbuds, and Steam Wallet money. Or an exceedingly rare item!
nuts & boltz ketche
You're gonna run into a sentry nest with only a bottle/sword?
Why would you do that? Its not like its required by law that you kill him, you could... I dont know, retreat, sneak up on this sentry nest a little later and sticky the hell out of it.
Contrary to the patch notes, the short circuit now does 10 DAMAGE on each burst (-5 metal) Damage are as follows: Normal = 10 Mini Crit = 14 Crit = 10 Also the strange festive wrangler still doesn't count anything so...
Wait, Mini Crits does more damage than Crits? Anyone knows how much damage it did before update?
Wait, Mini Crits does more damage than Crits? Anyone knows how much damage it did before update?
It cant crit thats why.
Why would you do that? Its not like its required by law that you kill him, you could... I dont know, retreat, sneak up on this sentry nest a little later and sticky the hell out of it.
Sadly, most Engineers never leave the nest. They never learn to fly and play offensively, and they just set up a sentry and a dispenser and mindlessly defend their crevice. By buffing the short circuit, they aren't compelled outside by demomen or soldiers. As long as the engineer has a shotgun and decent aim, not much is going to break into his nest, except for an ubered heavy/pyro. (Also, an ubered spy CAN go in and just unload his endless supply of sappers from his pocket, but it's not exactly the best strategy compared to other uber candidates)"
It cant crit thats why.
Ah, gotcha. Now to test it out in MvM.
- Can no longer fire underwater
i read "underwater" as "underwear" i feel so confused right now.
i read "underwater" as "underwear" i feel so confused right now.
I am now mildly considering adding the underwear from the sd_doomsday briefcase to the short circuit particles...
