My model viewer broke. Everything acts like there is no light. Cant even fuck with the source
That's due to the current update. There's a topic about it somewhere - the DoD:S and TF2 model viewers are broken.
I just cut the image out using a greenscreen, then duplicate layers in PDN. Bottom layer gets Gaussian Blur at setting 5, then select the edges of that layer with the Magic Wand, 50% tolerance, and Gaussian Blur what you selected in the top layer by 1. Crude method, yes, but until now I never found any other way. Criticism go.
blur =/= aa

Yay I did it. I only had to open ATI Catalyts Control Center and put anti-aliasing in 6x. Now I only need to know how to put reflects with dxsupport.
If anybody knows how to fix the flame effect please tell me.
If anybody knows how to fix the flame effect please tell me.
Remove the detail texture in the vmt.
Remove the detail texture in the vmt.
It's a lot easier to just replace the fire texture with a transparent one.
Do forgive me but how would i do something like that.
There's a fix file floating around somewhere.
Do forgive me but how would i do something like that.
Let's say you want to do so for the spy. Open materials/models/player/spy/spy_blue.vmt. You'll see a line like:
"$detailscale" "5"
Just change the number to a 0. You'll have to do this for three other files per character; in this case, spy_head_blue, spy_red, and spy_head_red. Edit: You can also replace "effects/tiledfire/fireLayeredSlowTiled512.vtf" with a fully transparent image.

Awesome renders guys. Tomorrow I'll post some of mine.

"$detailscale" "5"

What is that for(sorry I don't understand what you said) Anyway how do you open class hats and that. I mean for example Scout's headphone.
I wish i can load up more then one item at a time. That empty hand is annoying me.
I wish i can load up more then one item at a time. That empty hand is annoying me.
Take a screenshot of the character with the hat, then take a screenshot of him holding the weapon, then splice the two together with Photoshop. Like so: Also had to 'shop the finger to make it look like he was holding the gun. Still doesn't look right, and I hate the background, but this was my first attempt at using the model viewer and I wanted to try it out.

Now if only i can get face poser to stop crashing on start up.
I'll just leave this here smells like irony
My screenshots are blank and empty?..
Manually take a screenshot. The built in function is broken.
