Anyone else noticed the reference to Red Dead Redemption when a cougar appears?

Maybe the life extending machine is a new engineer unlock? Imagine this, it's a replacement for the PDA and it lets the engie build a machine that works as a respawn point. If a player dies, he can chose to spawn back at the base, or at the machine. Of course, it would need to recharge after every respawn and make it impossible for the engineer to build any other buildings while that's up.

Basically, the root of the problem here is the fact that so far Valve has been drawing three characters completely identically: the Announcer (during the WAR! Update) and Elizabeth/Emily (from family portrait/Loose Canon), [I]AND[/I] the woman who talks to Engineer's grandfather and gives him the Australium (also from Loose Cannon, I assume it isn't Emily again, because they make a point of not mentioning her name, and 40 years passed in between the two characters.) Another problem is that Valve apparently retconned the name of Zepheniah Mann's maidservant from Elizabeth to Emily. There.
