I reckon on that Australium stuff will be used to build the new buildings, rather than collecting metal from dropped weapons and ammo the Engi' collects it from killing people with his golden wrench. Oh and that the life extending machine will work like the medi-gun, in that it will charge as people are healed by it and when activated will give a health boots to everyone in its area of effect. Just another one to add to Ol' Chrisordie's speculation list...
Okay I've been thinking a few of my speculations I still Australium stuff will be used to build the new buildings, rather than collecting metal from dropped weapons and ammo the Engi' collects it from killing people with his Golden Wrench, when the Engi' kills someone with it their wrench the body can 'mined' by whacking it with the golden wrench. The Amount of Australium contained in the body will vary from class to class, for example a Heavy will be worth more than a Scout but with the higher yield comes the greater risk. I'm not sure about trade off stats purely and simply because the risk it a great enough trade off. As for the 'Life Extending Machine' I believe that the life extending machine will work like a cross between the dispenser and the medi-gun, in that it will slowly charge as people are healed by it much like the medi-gun and when activated will give a health boot to everyone in its area of effect and buff those at full health. The buff and heal level will increase and the building is upgraded for example: At Level 1 it will instant heal 75hp and buff by 50% At Level 2 it will instant heal 100hp and buff by 75% And At Level 3 it will instant heal 125hp and buff by 100% By having a max buff level that's 50% lower than the medi-gun it will prevent it from being completely tossed in favor for a mass Engie' 'Undeath Machine', The trade offs will be that it heals at a lower rate than the conventional dispenser (possibly starting at 5hp per sec' and going up as such), it can only be repaired by the Golden Wrench and doesn't produce metal or ammo/produces them at lower yield (much like the health rate). Just my thoughts, I've probably over looked a few things but a bit speculation here and there makes for a bit of fun!
I like the first idea, altough it would be very hard to gain enough Australium to build and upgrade everything and as a result inefficient.
I could be late here, but what if the "golden" wrench is actually made of Australium. :O
TF2 is Valve's brain playground, where they put their most amazingly nonsense theories and turn them into facts, inside a crazy universe, and turn that all into a rather deep story that actually makes sense.
kritzkrieg is no longer filled with jarate, but australium :tinfoil:
I like the first idea, altough it would be very hard to gain enough Australium to build and upgrade everything and as a result inefficient.
Good point, but maybe the Engineer could carry both metal and Australium to build the basic level 1 stuff, as before additional Australium can be obtained from killing with the Golden Wrench with bonus Australium produced by a Foundry like device which instead of upgradeing with golden wrench whacks it inputs Australium Chunks which are worked into bars (like the one seen in the comic) which are worth more building material and are given to nearby gold wrench Engie's, much like the conventional one. Of course the trade off is that you get out what you put in. However that takes up another build slot seeing as my speculation of the Not Dieing machine would take the dispenser place... Hmm... I'll have to mull that one over...

Has anyone noticed this yet? http://www.teamfortress.com/loosecanon/13.html Look at the Life-Extender Machine blueprint cover. It says that it was built for the Mann brothers, and then another, at the bottom. Who's the third?

Maybe the Engineer's grandfather built one for himself?

What? He says there is nothing there.

They fight with kangaroos!
Mann Co: WE PISS AUSTRALIUM AND GET INTO FIGHTS
Actually, Australium is found in natural reserves beneath the ground.
is it me, or when blutarch comes back to life, he has used the eyelander in the afterlife against invisible things?
Prey reference much?
