City of Heroes has really fared well for a seven-year-old MMO. The playerbase is a lot smaller than other more popular MMOs but it's more manageable. Praetoria feels really fresh in its content, and the overall universe is really big and sound. The Incarnate System works pretty well too.

Hmmm, I may have to give it a try some time. I don't mind smaller numbers of people, at least that means less spam and trolls. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't super scarcely populated or anything.

If you do play, make sure to tell me what server you're on. I mainly use Virtue but I don't mind using other servers if it means I can play with a friend.
