I use different FOV's for each class using autoexec files.
I use 90 for soldier,scout and medic. 70-75 for the rest.

fun fact: the maximum FOV is actually what the weapons would look like if their z-buffer wasn't disabled, aka, if their depth was correct with the game world.

I play at default, but I'm considering switching to something else... Ambassador and the Miniguns can take up a sizable chunk of the screen...
