I like how they said this was fixed even though it's been 3 years
mini-sentries would like a word with you
- The Gunslinger was added to the game.

- Fixed a bug that caused mini-Sentry Guns to heal while being constructed.

That was a bug?... I feel like that's nitpicking, like what they did with making Sentries not attack Spies who get a backstab with the Eternal Reward.
The whole point of those two weapons is that their downside is that you can't be healed while you have them out.
So yeah it was a very minor bug compared to some other things but it was one that was necessary to fix.
oh well
I can still super sticky jump in mvm with max blast resis
plus mvm maps have hilariously high skyboxes

Belt misc items hooo!
mini-sentries would like a word with you
still the most bullshit way to explain it ever, seeing as it was fucking advertised as a feature when minisentries came out
2 sticky bombs is way more than enough to cross entire maps.
still the most bullshit way to explain it ever, seeing as it was fucking advertised as a feature when minisentries came out
no
the advertised feature was that it started off at full health, which it still does
not that it kept healing itself to full health, until it was fully deployed and actively shooting at you
To be perfectly honest I'm not too upset by the nerf solely because of the fact that it discourages the use of the weapon. I feel that too many people play the game using SJ/RJ or other joke load-outs and don't contribute to the team effectively wasting a players slot. At the same time however, I am torn because I know people can still use the weapons the right way and they're good fun so I'm pretty much indifferent to the whole thing. I don't see it as a problem yet at the same time what does it really do for the game?
the real issue is valve being hellbent on the jumpers being for "TRAINING"
so if they were convinced about the "serious" use of jumpers, they would probably unnerf it, aswell as removing the no-intel picking-up.
Guys...
They added hats to the other sets...
I didn't even know they had hats...
So what was the reason for the only 2 stickies? my friend's claim is that demoman moved so fast with 8 stickies you couldnt see them. Which I find idiotic. What do you think the reason is?

that i guess
they should change some of the seemingly arbitrary ceilings and sky boxes then.

the sticky jumper was basically broken in CTF. It made a map like Doublecross essentially undefendable.

Unreasonable and uncontrollable on unofficial maps.
sentrybusters now damage friendly robots

free instakills on anything
the sticky jumper was basically broken in CTF. It made a map like Doublecross essentially undefendable.
because people were too stupid to get a sentry up
either way, ctf rounds being won is not a bad thing.
theres like a train map and the old sticky jumper used to be so op on it, but it was so fun
it was 2 trains and they were docked to eachother but like
you could jump from 1 intel room to the other, but there was like air resistance so you'd possibly fall to the ground and die and shit
so
fun

oh and the ground basically killed you instantly right
I never liked that map because of all the snipers.
ctf_convoy was the name of the map
I always thought the sticky launcher and jumper gave you more speed on jumps until the 3rd sticky, that was why I always used the SJ with 3 stickies at max.
They could change the sticky jump mechanic to be like that, instead of the SJ nerf.
But meh, it's not like this nerf will change things THAT MUCH.

thank you
isn't it a very old map or something?
i remember playing it in the good old days iirc

it was in a team roomba video
so yes
The least they can do is let Demos with the Stickyjumper allowed to pick up the intelligence briefcase again. Or how about this: 50% vulnerability to fire, bullets, and melee weapons while equipped with intelligence briefcase.
I know Sticky jumper was meant for learning sticky jumping, which might be why they limited it to 2, but its pretty easy to be honest. They could make it fun and useful. Eh. Maybe they really want to nail it into peoples heads that they don't like training weapons being used to do certain tasks.
3 stickies is fine. increased/unlimited clip would be nice too, but probably too much to ask for.

I know I played it years ago in TF2, and it's a remake of an Unreal Tournament 2003/2004 map so it's pretty old.
woop woop
Still looks like they haven't fixed the Babbyfaces Blaster exploit for free speed

If launched at the right angle, you can still do that. I sometimes go on whatever convoy maps left just to sticky over and back and make a quick 3 caps.

How would you do what when there's always at least 3 Sentries in the intel room?

I'm taking notes for a history class, what is that exactly?

Run around with the soda popper and build up hype until your meter is almost full. Switch weapons to the BFB and walk into a supply closet. You now have full boost.
