The other achievement could be explained as it being the Engie's killtaunt as well. And finally, it doesn't make any sense to replace the wrench with a guitar because a guitar can't build shit and building shit is the Engie's primary function.

You know the sniper got 2 secondary replacement and the spy got 2 watches instead of a new knife. Considering that the engi is in the same situation as the spy (Melee weapon like it is right now is vital to its playstyle) I'm pretty sure we're getting a guitar replacement for pistol.

This is just speculation, but if I had to guess, the guitar is the Wrangler's taunt because they couldn't make an interesting taunt for the Wrangler itself, much like the Buff Banner has the juggling taunt.

I saw an engineer guitar unlock, Acoustic Joe or something (link is dead but listed here with a short description: [url]http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1097383[/url]) Basically it healed and upgraded all buildings in range at the same time at a slow pace by playing guitar. Downside: Pretty slow Upside: Uses less metal to upgrade all, heals all buildings at the same time.

A finger gun makes plenty sense.
