They've probably had the engineer update done for well over a few months. Hell they probably had/have all the updates done a few months after the game was originally out and they're just feeding them to us laughing.

Each 'ticker' is a seperate number image or something like that, and they load in as '000' by default. Sometimes it takes long enough for the number to load so that you see a 0 where another number should be.
