Because these weapons, with their high craft cost, are quite clearly made to either keep you playin' 'til March 2011, or fill Valve's already bulging wallet.

I'll keep on playing, but that's only because I play competitive and all the unlocks except the ones from the regular class updates are banned. All the crap Valve brought into the game now doesn't really affect comp. play.

I loved TF2 before the updates, but I still love TF2 as it is now, the only thing I regret is that most of the hats and weapons have a shit design and do not respect the TF2 world.

And I WANT Valve to add an official Vanilla Mode, where there's no hat, no unlocks.

The only hat I really want is the Safe n' Sound. Even then I don't have the desire to go off to the trade servers to find one.

If anything TF2 today is what [b]you[/b] the player make of it. If [b]you[/b] want it to be a 24/7 hat fest so be it, if [b]you[/b] want it to be a fun "little" game you play every once in a while your free to do so. I really don't mind the updates, I love the game, I'm good at the game, so all these new weapons are just to mix things up, and I barely notice the hats at all unless they are unusuals.

It's just too fucking confusing, I'm not sure I want to bother with it anymore.

The artstyle has been dead for a long time, and the new updates are merely the worms crawling around the rotting carcass.

The class roles have been diminished, and more set items have been added.
We have too many goddamn items now... I could stand it when it was only the visual part of TF2 being fucked over, but now we A LOT of more varied weapons, unbalanced weapons, pure upgrade weapons, and set bonus advantages... it's too fucking confusing.

Valve really needs to do another wave of class updates made entirely by them, not the community. In fact, the most involvement the community should have is ideas for stats.

Eh. I never really played it too often anyway, I'd sit around and play for like, 30 minutes for a few days then get fed up with something or another and just stop for awhile. Most of my HUGE PLAYTIME comes from my idle addiction. I had fun creating items and finding them and sharing what I got with you dudes but now that it's limited, and more and more random weapons show up it's just too hard to keep track of well, anything. Not to mention valve hasn't made their own update in what feels like ages.

I won't stop playing. Despite Valve giving the finger to their community and fans with all these lousy updates, it's still a great game to play.

I'll probably keep idling to get drops and I may stop in a server from time to time to see if Valve has improved things but the days of TF2 being my main game is over.

TF2 has started to feel less like a game and more like a chore. There is a reason I don't play MMOs. I don't want to grind for items, I just want to play the damn game.
