Are you still going to play Team Fortress 2 after this update? - Games

I'm playing medieval, and if that wasn't there, yes I would.

I would absolutely love to have an update from Valve that polishes up the existing content. More unique taunts, more voice lines if at all possible, new weapon sounds, ironing out some bugs...

All I want is optimization!

Is it just me, or is TF2 becoming worse with each of these updates? I liked TF2 a few years ago. When there were just a few custom weapons.

IMO too many different weapons now, I liked it when there was only a few class updates and a small amount of weapons to choose from.

I haven't really noticed any FPS drops and my rig is pretty average.

Every class still does what they originally do, they just have different methods of doing it, and a weapon or two for certain situations. The only unlocks that was extremely different were the demoknight unlocks, which were just Valve's way of adding a tenth class without actually doing it.

I have no problem with what Team Fortress 2 has become. Except for one, and that's that Heyo has and always will have more money than me. :saddowns:

I am, and I always will until they start humping the users leg with DLC, buy2win shit, etc... I still like how they add new hats though. Something gentlemanly.

there should be an old school 2007 gamemode where only vanilla weapons are allowed and no hats. I miss beta tf2.

just quit using the new items instead of quitting the game.

Medieval mode is too fun to not play.

What update?

I can't even play the game after this update. Any server I log into gives me the error "This server is enforcing consistency for this file: particles/water.pcf." This remains even after verifying the files, defragging, reinstalling and all that jazz. I honestly wonder why I even bother any more, my patients with this game can only run so far. Out of all the games on my computer, this is by far the buggiest.

TF2 is now a korean rip off, of a good game

I love this game to death and yes i will continue to play it.

Regardless of your personal opinion of the Christmas Update you must admit that when roughly a tenth of the game's players "quit" the game, all is not right in the land of Team Fortress 2. (I'm giving the percentage a lot of leeway.) I am tired of the attitude that all complaints are senseless whining, and that TF2 players do not have reasons to be upset. Some people oppose changes from a gameplay perspective; some from a stylistic perspective; others from an ethical perspective (the Mann Co. store). I have yet to see a complaint that is specifically "Waaah! I don't like this change because it hurts me and only me! I want this!"

I'll still play it, but these dumb updates will make my playing less and less frequent.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. The people who quit are not going to quit. Seriously, I understand that for some people Tf2 is [b]SERIOUS FUCKING BUSINESS[/b], but as someone who plays it everyday, no, if you stop whining about how content is ruining the game, and just learn to get along, you'll like it. If you hate every moment of it, why are you still playing it? Or better yet, why [i]are[/i] you sill playing it? You said that you had given it up around the medic update, when that ruined and crippled the game!
