YTPMV
YouTube Poop Music Video
That means it's shit. Not random parts mish-moshed together to a melody.
It's called "YouTube Poop" for a reason.
Oh god, finally someone else who still knows what YTPMVs are all about.
I feel that even the bigger YTPMVers nowadays forget about the "YTP" part.
Either way
Found it on Kotaku.

So you're pissed about the fact that some YTPMV's aren't shit, instead being potentially great, as few of these posts are?
Hey, I had that in my favourites.
I made this a long time ago.

I'm pissed that the video covering every track in perfect pitch and volume is seen as somewhat of a must nowadays.
It's called Youtube Poop Music Video and not Pitch Perfect Remix Video after all.
Yes, I know the thread title also mentions "Remixes" but those are easily distuinguishable.

I enjoy this

So tell me then,
What would be a good YTPMV to you?

One where you can hear what song it's trying to remix and all but the focus being on the weirdness and obscurity of the source(s) used for the samples.
I mean, who in their right mind would use TF2, Jack Black on Sesame Street, Robotnik saying "PINGAS" and all the other famous YTPMV sources as actual remix samples?

They use random sounds from Meet The Team-series, in case you didn't notice.
Plus, all the YTPMV's don't use a single sound like pingas, and if you need monotonic sounds, look up Bonk songs.

That's not what I meant.
My point is that no matter if they use a variety of samples or not, the fascination behind YTPMVs comes from "OMG he used this to mix it with this song? And it sounds somewhat nice too." and not from "OMG this is pitch perfect!".
