Not enough birds.
Not enough birds.
have you seen birdemic? if anything, it's too many.
Warning: All birds in the hunting grounds are slightly more agressive this season and may or may not be armed with saws.

So, what will happen if [sp]Valve decides to not actually release the B.A.S.E. Jumper shortly before release[/sp]

The Rage Meters of every Soldier player in TF2 will instantly, permanently, and fully charge up, rage of which the likes of have not been seen since the Halocalypse.
No amount of Short Circuits or Airblasts will stop the shitstorm.
They will march upon the walls of Valve HQ.
The potted plants and economists will not be spared from the rage.
The TF team will be turned into gravy.
Robin Walker will have his hats hl2.exe'd.
Gabe Newell will be force-fed the number 3 until he collapses inward on himself like a neutron star.
EOTL gets turned into a Doomsday mission because Rockets.
An Ice Age occurs from the smoke of the rockets obscuring the sky.
567,000 years later the mantis-men will discover the remains of the rage and tell stories to their younglings.
I do imagine this will be a fun update for pyros and demos too, because despite the blog saying it's an advantage AGAINST them, it's a perfect oppertunity to practice reflects/airshots...

I imagine the fact that it's in the blog post pretty much means they are 100% sure they are going to ship it.
Wait, this isn't a terrible idea at all. Okay, forget that last one.
[editline]COCKS[/editline]
WOW I misread your post, never mind. I thought you meant how most of the weapons in the blog were them saying "these are dumb and here's why," and how the BASE jumper was included, they were sure NOT to ship it.

are... are you adding to his argument or trying to argue against it
Sure wish beta was still here and we could playtest these before release.
Something occurred to me just now
If you jump up with the BASE Jumper then start charging the Cow Mangler's alt-fire, will you still go at the same speed? If so I could see that being really useful...
I actually want to see The Big Bomb in action :v:

I wouldn't surprised if it was similar to the Sentry Buster.
Maybe even model wise. Like a downscale version of the SB's head.

It's the same as if you had the Loch-n-Load fire Ullapool Cabers.

Make it hitscan, bestow it upon Heavy, and we have ourselves a winner.
I already can see that valve will screw things up adding things like damage resistance while flying etc...
Also bugs like the parachute acting as solid to the enemy team, and them people making grief videos of rocket jumpers in 24/7 hightower servers with "persian demomens ridings they're magic carpets to the enemy snipers".
About game mechanics, it will not be broken, it's like the Gardener meta, after some players being victim of it, they get aware, now people look up and strafe, with the chute, will be the same, first players using it will have a slight advantage when performing divebombs, then people will get used to it, and then it only will work when getting people by surprise, like the Gardener in any serious environment with players that have more than two brain cells, remember that people get air shotted all the time in terminal speeds, it will be even more easy to air shot with this, but if you're predicting someone's slow movement the surprise effect could even mess with TLR's aim.
oh btw indeed he is here...

complaining about bugs before a release is really stupid.
When the eureka was released I made a thread on spuf saying you would probably be able to teleport in your base with the enemy flag. It never happened and I learned my lesson.
stop making arguments about things that don't even exist.
I do remember one bug that was fixed before release. It was a SPUF thread about "wouldn't it be funny if the weapon had this and such bug" and it did and a Valve dev replied they had fixed it before release.
Don't remember what it was. I think it had something to do with the Cow Mangler
Did somebody say... NEW WEAPONS?

Just imagine turning a corner and seeing that giant thing in your face.
It'd be literally impossible to hide, but it would serve as a pretty awesome area denial tool.

Better!
Imagine when You see this and it's crit boosted.

Even better!
Imagine the Demoman firing it out of an ordinary stickybomb launcher and it lands directly on top of you crit boosted.
Now imagine the Short Circuit Engineer harassing this demo by making his weapon completely useless.

i love the idea of the tiny little short circuit going *zap* and destroying a gigantic bomb the size of a truck
Now imagine the Short Circuit Engineer harassing this demo by making his weapon completely useless.
would have been a legit move if the circuit was still at its first or second version
