I think they won't notice the Gmod poses much, since there's gonna be tons of them anyway. If you wanna win, you'd better draw it.

Both of mine are actually decompiled models and rendered in 3ds Max. Not GMod screenies. That and my drawing is shit anyway.

It still looks like a Gmod pose. Here's a tip: make it look like a poster you'd actually see in-game. Use the TF2 art style and make it 50-60's era propaganda style.

Now with my avatar, I can propagandise wherever I go! :3:
